Let me preface this by saying, I think Jaylon is a stud and will be awesome at ND, especially because the way he played at the AAA game. I also noticed the size of a lot of his opponents were rather small, he on average looked bigger than quite a few of the opposing teams olineman.
I saw him play against the Division I (big school) Ohio High School runner up, who beat the Division II Champion by 40somthing points. Whitmer didn't look that good, but it turns out they interrupted their tendencies (see what ND coaches didn't do and Nick Saban did in the NC game) which resulted in an off score of 20-3. This was just before the coach at Jaylon's high school got fired. They totally misused Jayon; I would have moved him around on defense, and not just used him on third and long on offense (who do you think was getting the ball.)
Whitmer was not the biggest team I ever saw, but they were plenty big, bigger than Leurs. But I can tell you who was the best player on the field, by far. And I don't think top level Ohio competition is that bad of a gage. Jaylon also had an astounding ability to change direction, and move laterally on defense and his acceleration was insane. You think it was freakish on tape? There were a couple plays that the Whitmer QB didn't even register fear, just surprise and puzzlement.
