The only threat I could possibly see here would be OSU if they offered. they already have 2 RBs committed though.

And both are Ohio kids headed to OSU despite the turmoil.

Brionte Dunn 6-2 218 4.6 247's #11 RB
Warren Ball 6-2 230 4.5 247's #17 RB


Mahone 5-11 205 4.65 274's #32 RB.

I'm happy with Mahone at ND but don't see him pushing Dunn or Ball out of OSU's stable at this point IF he wanted to go there. IF Mahone was to waver OSU isn't a likely landing spot.

I have seen both Mahone and Dunn play many times and i would not go to much by the ratings. Brionte did not even show for practice the weak of his state play off game. He is not exceptionally quick but he is gifted. He is more of a strider. He has talent but not sure how he equates to Urban's offense. Mahone was more explosive in the games I saw him. He is a better fit for the spread as I think Brionte fits better in a power football offense. I might have missed something but I would think Mahone was more upset with the coach that left than ND and he needs someone to stop by so he has some contact to the school and feels he is wanted. That seems reasonable to me for a 18 year old young man.

Why would Mahone, Russell or any other back we have on the roster be upset. They get Alford!!!!!!!
