Possibly. What I'm wondering is how the staff will handle all of these kids. LaRue, EV, Prevot, Hollins, and maybe Isaac will all be there at the same time with only what, two spots left? In a perfect world you could take all of them, but there just isn't that much wiggle room (that I know of). It will be interesting that's for sure.

None of that fooling around with "faux-scholarships" is going to happen, but stuff going on vis-a-vis Slaughter, unannounced transfer, medical disabilities, etc could have Kelly counting numbers differently than we think. This year has been far more "opaque" as to the actual number than last year.

That said, and therefore admitting ignorance, I'd make a wild stab that if Vanderdoes, Prevot, and Fitts all wanted to come as early as that magic weekend, Kelly would shake all their hands, Diaco would smile, and everyone would go party. What then happened with the other guys would probably mean not being accepted, but as said, I don't know what the count is anymore.

Ironman: I actually agree with all those "possibilities" and believe that the staff has definitive scholarship-freeing answers in each area. But I don't want to seem to know more than I do. So, for me, it's the defensive bigs that have the welcome mat at the door.

I know nothing of NDs admissions and I do want the best student athletes to represent the blue and gold. I think OMM has it right that Kelly knows whats going on with the #s overall and where we stand. I think we still have a transfer and a decommit hanging out there according to TP anyway.....right?

I think I remember prior to Anzalone that TP mentioned a transfer and a de-commit and that Anzalone seemed to be a surprise since he was tweeting he all ND just before he enrolled in Florida. No matter. I am not in the loop, that is just what I remember reading. I may be mistaken and would gladly like to be corrected.

FWIW, with Slaughter not getting a 6th we probably have about 4 spots if Nichols takes a medical. At minimum I think we take 3 guys. The 5+ dead weight players on the roster are really harshing my mellow on how this class could finish.

Why is Prevot still a USC verbal? Rather he ends up at USC or it seems as though his recruitment is pretty open at this point.
