RT @RivalsDallas: For those killing Brian Kelly and rest of the #NotreDame staff, this is a dead period in recruiting. Jan 9 through Jan 12.

Yeah, but "dead period" has nothing to do with Kelly taking interviews with the NFL.

Couldn't wait until the dead period was over? TWO DAYS?????

I'm floored by this, even with all his drama over the past year.

Given his tweets in the past few weeks (especially with the other EE"s), I'm really at a loss for words

Any other ILBs still available in 2013?

i forgot all about him.

at least martin waited for Weis to offically be fired. We don't even know what the heck is happening with Kelly.

This was a two way street. BK basically looking around goes against his all in/decation motto. 3 years and looking, disrespectful in my mind. I understand negitiating, but after your team looks unprepared for the title game and been preaching the love of ND you are looking around the day after. Disrespectful, and the preception is horrible. Alex's dad is a Gator and you know he has been pushing that. And if he has friends there too, and they seemed shocked. The butt whoooping we received, BK's dishonesty/preceived dishonesty made it an easy move.

I put this more on Coach and Father on this one. With Coach the bigger offender.

I think BK is getting a lot of venom here too. He is the one I have issue with right now. AA's dad was always pushing Florida, and this was a perfect storm in terms of uncertainty and timing to do it.

I guess, man. I respect your opinion about this stuff as much as anyone's so I'm not going to tell you that you're wrong for feeling that way. But my feeling is that Kelly has to do what is in his own personal best interest sometimes, as does everyone. He can't cost himself potentially millions of dollars because one high school player is too emotionally unstable to stick with his word through a bad news cycle. The other recruits in the class have had the kind of attitude towards the situation that I hope I would have, and that I hope my (hypothetical) kid would have.

Hell, I think Anzalone could have ended up at Florida even if BK didnt talk to Philly knowing the way he is.

Talked to every other #Irish early enrollees or someone extremely close to them. All 5 said, "Bags are packed." Will be at #ND this weekend.

Both sad and hilarious watching this board melt down. I hate, HATE, when grown men talk **** about high school kids because of recruiting, but in this case I think it needs to be said that there is something I don't respect about the way Alex is wired. I don't care if you're 5 or 85, the thing inside of you that makes you lack conviction is the same and doesn't change. The kid is a flake. If another kid that has been solid throughout the process flips, I'll have to respect that decision. But this kid has changed his mind at least 5 times now just that we know of.

I think it's sad that you find peoples' anguish funny.

like i said...getting a plane ticket to enroll tomorrow at florida this quick??? this had to have been brewing for a bit and i believe him being around other ND commits didn't want to let it out until after the UA

With this being the quiet period, UF couldn't have contacted him so this had to have been in for some time.

Could have handled it better / had better timing IMO. That's all.

Exactly. He was already gone. Just didn't want the social shame in person at the UA game. He was going to pull a Gunner and enroll at UF tomorrow regardless, the BK interview with Philly was the spin the Anzalones needed to make it about someone else's indecision instead of Alex's. Unfortunately this is a recurring theme for him.

What else do you think happened?

Notre Dame wouldn't guarantee Anzalone enough of these

I dont see how news last night enabled him to be out this quickly. His mind was made up to transter before the news broke on BK. Let him go. What comes around goes around. The Irish will be just fine. I have faith.
