Hasn't been able to take an OV to ND yet because he hasn't gotten the proper paperwork on file at ND. Sapp and Wiltfong are still uber-confident that he will be Irish.

Even if that is the only reason, all it's doing is providing him an opportunity to be swayed in another direction. Just need to get him on campus. At least then if he decides to go to Miami (God help his soul), then it will have been an informed decision that he came to first-hand. If he can step foot on ND's campus and honestly say Miami is the place for him to be, then so be it at that point. Right now, however, I feel ND is at a disadvantage without a visit.

I don't care when he visits ND, as long as he visits ND - is my point. I DON'T want him to commit before visiting here. That's just a recipe for failure IMO. WHEN he visits ND isn't nearly as important as IF he visits ND.

Paperwork, paperwork....???? WTF LOL. Who's issue, ND slow, AQM goofing..... That's a pretty lame issue unless it's grades. And if it's grades, we have another issue altogether.

It is grades. Similar situation to Sebastian LaRue ... can't visit until we are sure the academic house is in order. Nothing as serious as Jamel James though. The BGI guys still seem to think that AQM will be able to get in.

We don't know why the documents aren't on file, but right now everyone is assuming that it's a mere formality, not a sign of a serious academic issue.

At least that's my impression based on Tunnel Vision. Jason is always vaguer than I'd like.

"Paperwork" being referenced as a delay/hold-up/complication is never a good sign. This is an important process, and Don Bosco should have had plenty of kids go through it before. They should know what ND would need, or the NCAA, or whoever.

At the same time, ND should know exactly what they need from Don Bosco. Either way, there is a hold up that shouldn't be occuring (in my eyes) based on the fact that both institutions should know exactly what is needed.

DBP is a very prestigious and buttoned up school...i doubt there is anything in terms of course load, getting proper info etc that could be the so called problem here. now his performance in said classes is another matter but doubt there is a procedural issue at play at all.

For me it's AQM>Hollins. However, with the recent findings I say we go full court press on both and the first to fall we take. Not nearly as confident in AQM as I once was but what do I know.

Nobody knows anything. Five hours ago everybody was sure AQM was coming to ND now noboby seems so sure. What has changed in the last 5 hours? Absolutely nothing. Its funny how we all sit at our computers and try to figure what these high school kids are thinking.

All I do so we go for both guys and take whoever comes first.

They didn't say "transcript" exactly ... but there is some kind of "protocol" that you have to follow before ND will allow you to take an official visit. Not sure if it's a transcript that you have to send or if it's some other document, but apparently you have to send something to prove you are on track to meet ND's admission requirements before ND will pay for you to come out for an OV.

Do agree with everything you just mentioned.

I still think it is amazing how we try to figure out what these high schoolers are thinking and make all these assesments when at times we have no idea.

This is pretty much exactly how I feel. It was a little off that he not only missed the ND OV, but also OVed to another school instead. Like I said days ago- the writing is on the wall.

Wish I could agree here. I hope to God I'm wrong, but I can't help but feel he signs elsewhere.

this is a must get imo...no one left on the board as elite as he is at the position we're trying to fill that we're in it with. if we want to continue to put out elite "SEC" type of defenses we need to make sure this guy is Irish

I agree, he is high on our board. But I think Folston and Redfield are bigger needs at this point. Also, I feel confident in landing Hollins
