Must watch at home by myself. Like all the games the last 5 years. Cannot be out in a crowd and deal with anti Notre Dame stuff in my neck of the woods. I know not to do that. Dittos to Irishcop on staying safe- thanks for what you guys do.

I'm surprised at how many people like watching games alone. I am definitely one of the crowd. I can't stand watching games with people who don't know what they're watching (i.e. viewing the actual chess match and the strategy, not reacting to good plays or bad plays).

I watched the "Under The Lights" game last year with my best friends and one of my friend's wife, and they are completely apathetic to sports, but when Michigan started their comeback she just--out of nowhere--started cheering more and more loudly and I lost my mind. It took every ounce of control to not berate her. So this year I've done a great job of not getting so invested; during the Pitt game I was as cool as a cucumber.

This year I have a rather amazing near-campus house and so my roommate's best friends are all over binging with us, and they're huge Buckeye fans...and particularly the sort who hate Notre Dame more than Adolf Hitler himself. It's the worst--and yet oddly enjoyable because Notre Dame went 12-0! **** em all, right? I imagine for the NC game I'll be more of the same. Go Irish. Fuuck Ohio State.

This lady would be exiled from my house after such actions, never to return!

I'll probably be watching the game at my house with wife and brother, maybe parents, on the 82" TV.

I will be watching it alone. Can't watch a ND game with my friends because they will just root against the IRISH to **** me off! Can't go into a bar to watch it because there isn't a good place to aim as I unleash a hat throw should something go wrong. Also I'm a sap and I tear up just hearing the fight song, not very attractive trying to order a beer thru my sobbing!!! lol

GO IRISH!!!!

Going to watch the NC at my grandparents house with my grandfather.

My grandfather is from South Bend, used to deliver newspapers as kid to ND students. Anyway I went over to watch a couple games with him early in the year to spend some time with him. ND kept winning and I was too supersitious to change, so I've there for game this year and I'm not going to change now.

Anyone else have one of those statistician friends who has to share their knowledge of the game, team and players after every play while you're trying to watch the freaking game?

I have to be in Hartford, CT at 8 am on Tuesday, January 8th. I am not happy about this. But I'll be at a bar somewhere up there.

In my room by myself with no distractions. I will also be pacing back and fourth in front of the tv the whole game

Yes I will routinely have to go get up and walk around throughout the game as well. The other people in the room as always will think I'm nuts.

I think I am renting out the back room of a bar with another big fan who doesn't drink (built in DD!). No Bama fans and a couple of SEC nuts may be banned too. I'm thinking I buy a round at the end of any quarter that the Irish are leading. Wife and kids stay home and go to bed.

Monday night is stupid. Won't be done until midnight eastern at the earliest. Might be a small crowd late in the game since most are fans of the game more than Irish. I would love my 9 year old to stay up too but that is likely vetoed.

We did kick around making the trip to Miami and scalping tickets but there is way too much uncertainty in that.

If I'm ever on a domestic abuse jury and the guy says she wouldn't stop saying "It's just a game, calm down" - I'm totally letting him off the hook.

My daughter and I will start out together watching the game and she will then head off to bed about halftime. I'll be up in the isolated living room trying not to be too loud as everyone else in the house will be asleep.

I do get the most joy out of watching the game alone though. I do not like the distractions of watching ND with a crowd.

I've already decided my New Years resolution is going to be to not swear at the TV during sport events.

I've also decided that my resolution will not be going into effect until January 8, 2013. I think a one week grace period is very fair.

I forgot to mention: I have to be up and at em for an 8 am interview on Tuesday morning. So much for that lasting first impression...

I'm a youth pastor in Oklahoma. My teens keep wanting to have a "National Championship Game Party" (we do this kid of stuff regularly). None of them are Irish fans, though many of them say their pulling for the Irish because of me. Part of me really wants to have one for them, the other part of me is afraid I might kill one of them if they hate on ND during the game.

Chances are at home with the wife and schnauzer on the couch watching on 50" plasma.

Since there's not much going on right now, I'm just curious how everyone is planning to watch the big game. I know some of you are going to Miami - for the others - do you like watching at home with friends? On your own to focus? At a bar?

I'm trying to decide what I want to do, but am firmly on the fence.
I'm flying down to Miami to tailgate and party with fellow Irish fans. If I can land a ticket into the stadium I'll be watching it in Sun Life. If not, I'll find an Irish friendly bar and watch it there.

After a 4k plumbing bill, I decided not to go to Miami. Instead may take a long weekend in Belize after or before business.

If so, at the Palapa Bar in San Pedro.

If not, on the couch at home.

I have a 142 inch screen in my theater room in my basement. Gonna be posted up between there and my almost complete bar 30 feet away. Might invite a couple true fans over. No outsiders ever though.

Pics? My friend has a 100" screen in his basement, I would love to see a 142!

Six pack of Yuenglings.
A small bacon pizza.
And I'll mainly be sitting on the couch in our living room, but at points I'll be standing, kneeling, and jumping.

Just typing this out is making me nervous...
