Anyone who's ever walked on UCLA's campus would want to go there. It's in a great area, it's gorgeous, the women are gorgeous, etc etc. If I recall correctly it's the most applied to school in the country.

Can't hate on a kid falling in love with the school at all.

Yep the campus is awesome. Got to see it back in the spring of 2004.

Redfield, Juwaan Williams, LJ Moore, and Mason Cole all had warm and glowing comments about congratulating the team and deserving their place.

Also our current commits were ecstatic.

Apparently we've increased contact with him again... sign with Redfield? I personally doubt it but just want to throw it out there. It might be more of a comment on Lo Wood & Jamoris Slaughter.

Either way I think he's more or less a UCLA lock at this point.

As another interesting fact, USC is actually getting McQuay to visit this weekend (I guess they thought it would be awkward with Redfield present last weekend? Can't put the full court press on for 2 players for the same spot?) and it'll be quite interesting to see what happens there. I still think Vandy lands him in the end, but he's always been intrigued by USC throughout the process.

Yeah when i read the update yesterday that had UCLA out i was pretty shocked. Classic case of a kid waiting too long. ND isn't an option for him either unless we miss on Redfield or the staff has a serious change of heart on what they want to do with a potential 4th spot that might open up.

With Luke's committment and the play KVR6 this year, I could almost care less if ND gets him or not. The secondary is going to be fine for at least the next 3 years with or without him.

Very shocked too after a few of the board insiders told me "UCLA Lock"... I started having hope again when it was reported ND was back in touch here of late.

I do agree he waited to long, but I'm not ruling out extra spots opening up just yet.
