I do as well. Keep the guys we got onboard and go after a few select names with a concentrated effort

Thought I'd update though we aren't recruiting him anymore.

Tyler's team (Clairton) just won a PIAA (Pennsylvania) record 60th straight game by winning the WPIAL A Championships (Small school) and are the overwhelming favorites for the state championships, duh.

Boyd had 158 yds on 14 carries as well as a 60+ yards TD pass on a reverse in a 58-21 win.

For those interested in the Pittsburgh area (or have Root sports pittsburgh) Boyd just played and now Pat Kugler (Michigan committ) of North Allegheny will play in the AAAA game vs. Woodland Hills (alum: Steve Breaston, Ryan Clark)

Edit: In post game interview he said he would announce Jan 4th, though he didn't say who the "finalists" were.

Just saw this. That's damn impressive. Too bad he chose Pitt.

IIRC, we probably could have had him and would have pressed for him, but Fuller took his spot when he committed almost out of the blue.

Yeah, we took four WRs in '13. We were very high on Boyd, just filled up with Hunter/Onwualu/Fuller/Robinson. In retrospect, he would've been very nice to have.

Yeah, it's funny looking back now because at the time I really didn't appreciate how good both players, Boyd and Fuller, were going to be, or at least how soon they were going to be that good. I thought both were projects who wouldn't play much until they were upperclassmen. Boyd's results speak for themselves, and Fuller challenged Breezy for reps as a deep threat last season and looks like he will be a big part of our offense this season.

I guess I am saying that Boyd/Fuller probably deserved more discussion than it got. I think that last WR spot was almost an afterthought to most of us at the time.

kid is electric, will have a new QB this year though after Savage graduated, he's the only weapon the team also and they had him returning kicks and taking handoffs too if my memory serves me
