Sure why wouldn't they be? Not all 4,5 star kids are smart ones.

I'm not saying if they are or aren't but there are a significantly higher number of three stars than four or five meaning there are a significant amount that wouldn't cut it and vice a versa. For those that Oregon has hit on who knows if we didn't inquire and realize, nope not a fit.

I'd attribute that more to necessity than design. Fortunately for them, USC is located in a hot-bed of high school football talent. Notre Dame is not.

You keep coming back to this point about how "there's just something about ND". Believe me, I'm well acquainted with the magic, and I could probably pitch ND better than some members of our coaching staff. My point is that you don't see many recruits deciding between ND and UO as their final two schools because the programs are so different. Do you disagree with that narrow assertion? If not, I don't understand what we're arguing about.

I disagree with this completely. ND could only take midwest teams and win titles. Ohio and PA alone would be enough IMO.

Ok, I agree you don't see a lot of OU v ND recruiting battles. But what I'm saying is that you see many ND v lots of schools like UO (schools that seemingly have nothing in common with ND). Like how the hell do we lose a kid to Va Tech? What do Va Tech and ND have in common? Or UW? Or Zona? How the hell do kids cross shop those schools? I'm saying that there is a draw to ND that makes it difficult for kids to eliminate it despite them knowing that it does not fit what they think they are looking for in a school.

Does this make sense?

To your point GB, I live in Portland and as an outsider Chip is extremely arrogrant but it works. I hate the program because they have the worst fans(maybe excluding michigan). The reason he finds those gems in Cali is because they have zero ethics when it comes to an educational background. Year in and year out there are always players getting into trouble and not normal college stuff, breaking into houses weird ****. Read up on some of the **** the players have got into and it will blow your mind.

They might be bros but unless kelly is doin stuff we don't know about they are nothing alike when it comes to running a program. They saying out here "Win At All Cost". My hatred is coming through in these posts so I shall stop.

Oregon recruiting rewind: Recruiting heats up for Ducks (Free)

Posted this is the mattingly thread as well. Basically this writer believes that both redfield and mattingly will be ducks when all said and done. They r trying to get both for the 17 vs Stanford for a big recruiting weekend.

Not sure where you are getting that he thinks that they will both be ducks in the end, he is just commenting that both could be visiting that weekend.

Same info we know. Doesn't know if he'll go back to USC to visit. Asked if he was to pick between two schools what would they be said between SC and ND

That would constitute new info and it's good news for us.

Whoa that's huge. Some of the Rivals guys have been saying that they think he'll end up at Oregon. Glad to know that at least at this point we have the edge over them.

That video was before his Washington visit, and he still has an Oregon visit scheduled.

So, it doesn't mean too much now. Let's see what he says after this Oregon visit.

Oh shoot, that is kind of old then. I was thinking it was from this week or weekend, after Gorney's article had come out. Not quite as exciting as I'd thought.

Per 247, Redfield will not take any more visits until after his season is over. Still planning on Oregon being one of those obviously.

because he doesnt experience Oregon game day experience and a lot can happen between now and then where he may decide not to take a visit at all

Nike might drop an undisclosed amount of cash to ensure his commitment.
