I think most of us are disappointed that we are still talking about his recruitment after we were suppose to be his final choice. Oh well. I've had a couple of just leave already moments myself.

I absolutely hope he stays, and I'm glad he's at ND today and tomorrow. Whether he stays or not, his recruitment has been waaaay less dramatic than several others in recent years.

If this is settled in the next few days, and it's not Notre Dame's way, at least it's early enough the staff can look at options.

Come on Alex, help re-build the glory.

Yeah, definitely positive. Sapp is usually pretty vague, but it sounded like he was saying that Anzalone was shaken up by Randolph's commitment. Didn't know where he fit in in a 5-man LB class.

Weird, right? I can understand if Mattingly began to ask questions about that commitment, because he and Randolph are both OLBs, but why would Anzalone see Randolph's commitment as a threat? Different positions. Others have said that they could see Randolph at ILB, and I've been skeptical, but maybe they are right.

Anyway it sounds like they are ironing all that out now and that the visit is going well.

Personally, I think Randolph is OLB/DE hybrid just the same as AQM. They both are 6'3" 230 range. AQM's skill set may project there better but is isn't like Randolph doesn't play with his hand on the ground some already.

Anzalone should have no worries about any of our LB commits challenging him for pt on the inside.
