If we play with any fire, we will absolutely steamroll them. If we are rolling on all cylinders, I think we could drop 60 on them.

Wake Forest's run defense is ranked in the 70's. We're going to be able to drop seven or eight on every play.

We better come out ready, we learned this week no team is a circle win. That being said I hate BC and have hated them since 93 and when I used to post on the ESPN ND boards the biggest douche troll was a BC fan so I hope we come out hot and destory them!

We need to win this one by 50+...one being because it's BC. Second, because it's BC. Third...well....I can't think of any other good reason, so "because it's BC."

I saw on Rivals ND opened at -18.5. They list the game as 12 Noon EST, but I am assuming the 8 PM EST listed on ESPN is correct since it sound like it will be an ABC game.

BC will show up and give us everything they have. I expect them to keep the game under some control for a while just on pride and adrenalin. The reason that I do not believe that they can sustain this is that there is an ingredient missing: Luke Kuechly. He was a RARE player who transcended the rest of the game in almost every instance. When everyone else might consider lying down on the job, there would be Kuechly in his superman cape doing something astounding to give them hope. Well, superman is gone. Sooner or later our full gang of supermen will begin to roll, and then only we can stop ourselves. [or the flu]. [fingers crossed against that].

Does anyone know if ABC/ESPN has some sort of app where I'll be able to stream this game on my phone? The NBC Sports Live app is amazing, and I'm hoping ESPN has something similar.

40-10 Irish . . . anything less than man handling BC and I will be disappointed. A let down against Pitt is not totally unreasonable. Two weeks in a row is not a good thing. I don't see that happening, so that is why I say 40-10 Irish.

There are 2 games left before SC. Which means 2 more opportunities for Golson to learn. I don't care what the score looks like as long as we are 11-0 going into the final regular season game. All this, we should have done this, or won by this is ridiculous. Somebody explain to me why anyone expected us to trounce Pitt. Have we ever just took Pitt to the woodshed? I know we have not done so in the last 5 years so what made you think we would this year? We won and that's the bottom line! Football is war, do you expect any team we play to sleep walk against an undefeated Notre Dame. Wake up people!

I will be disgusted if BC puts up 10 pts.

I totally agree about Golson progressing over the next two games. I personally do care what the score looks like over the next two games. Your argument contradicts itself. The score of the game usually reflects the kind of game a team played. ND played a crappy game for just over 3 quarters. They played much much better the final quarter and overtime periods. Had they played that way for 4 quarters, or even 3 quarters, it would have looked nothing like 29-26 in 3 OT's. So 40-10 reflects what I believe would be ND playing ND football for 4 quarters against BC.

I'm sorry, but to suggest another nail biter over BC and Wake is just fine as long as we win is not good football sense. We should be getting better as a TEAM into November, not just one player(Golson) improving. I made room for a letdown against Pitt, but made it clear that another letdown or two against inferior teams would not be a good sign. I DO NOT expect this to happen, and so my prediction was a belief in our team showing up next week for 4 quarters. ND could have easily beat Pitt by two TD's or more had they played for 4 quarters, regardless of the fact that Pitt came to play. Same goes with BC/Wake. Just because BC will likely come to play does not mean ND cannot battle for 4 quarters and win 40-10 (or something similar).

Bobbyok, I get what you are saying about improvement and score can reflect that but it doesn't always. I also most certainly can say that Pitt is a better team than BC and Wake Forest. That doesn't mean that the games can't be close. We were a better team than BC last year and the score was 15-12 or something close. Only beat Wake by a TD. Of coarse I want the game to be over by halftime what fan wouldn't? It just doesn't always work that way. Contrary to what you think there is not a contradiction in winning. Some people say you should win by x amount of points and that's fine to their opinion but in reality to compete for 4 qtrs and have 1 more point than the opponent is all that matters. It does not mean you aren't improving as a team. Example BYU 17-14, Oklahoma 30-13, and Pitt 29-26. **** happens but at least we won a game that could have and possibly should have gone the other way. Matchups equal nightmare sometimes.

yankeeND I hear what your saying. A win is a win is a win. I couldn't have been more happy that we pulled off the win. The TD and two point by EG to tie the game at 20 reminded me of the 92' ND/Penn State "Snow Bowl." I watched that game as a 16 yr old kid in my parents living room. I remember being by myself and jumping up and down in the living room as Rick Mirer threw to Bettis and them Brooks for two. I think part of my desire to see ND win convincingly against BC/Wake is the frustration of the past few years. Losing so many close games and games we should not be losing at ND. But this year has healed much of that frustration and disappointment. I'm probably rushing things some, but I would hope to see the boys take care of business the next two games in a convincing manner.

And I do agree things don't always go the way you hope, matchups can have a big part in that. Either way Go Irish!
