The CAT is the glory position of the two OLB position, because they will go more opportunities to rush so it's no surprise that's where he wants to play.

There is no question that Jaylon is elite rusher and 99% of the time it would be a no brainer that you would want him at the CAT but because his coverage skills and speed are elite as well it would be a shame for him not to be a DOG OLB because he can cover like elite DB.

I agree with everybody that Jaylon's abilities currently are best suited for DOG LB. With that being said I remember a summer interview that Diaco did where he said that ideally both sides of the defense (left and right sides) would look exactly the same. Therefore the offense wouldn't know where the pressure is coming from (or which side is going to drop and which side will blitz). And that goes for the ILB's as well.

I think this might be the answer. If not next year, then for sure 2014 we will have the athletes to do this.

Um, IL State is in Bloomington, IL, and Jay is in Indiana. Bloomington, IN is where IU is. I don't think IN high school football would be played in IL...

On that note, there is nothing to worry about with Jaylon. He's as Irish as the day is long.

When I was a senior in high school, I went and stayed with friends at college on more than 1 occasion. Not every step these kids makes is football related.

I should have used italics on the second part. It was more a commentary on recent recruiting dramas (coughGreenberryDarbycough) than anything, combined with protectiveness over the gem of our class.
