Yeah, that is totally it.

@InsideUSC USC WR Robert Woods said the Trojans commit so many penalties because they have too much pride

Worst coached team in America BY FAR. If they ever get their act together... they're as good as anyone. But they've yet to do that. 0 wins against teams with winning records.

Instilling this petulant attitude in the USC program could effect them into the tenure of their next coach. It's difficult to change that culture of entitlement.

I think one can hope for an alignment of particular outcomes, but to actually root for these chumps..... never.

Totally agree---I can't bring myself to do it either.

So, how many losses will it require for their heralded recruiting class to start falling apart?

Their recruiting class will not fall apart. Kiffin is a very good recruiter, and they will have spots opening up. I would think that Woods is definitely leaving, and Barkley is gone. Star recruits will have visions of starting for USC early, which is not always common.

Even if they lost the rest of their games I believe that they hold on to most of their recruits, except Redfield of course!

For those who are having trouble rooting for USC think about this: If they beat Oregon, it will buy Kiffin more time.

I do feel that Diaco and Co. can not do what they have done and expect success in this game... hard to imagine Woods and Lee having five-ten yard cushions on every play being a recipe for success.

Thats another way to look at it. I never thought I'd find myself rooting for USC, no matter the odds, but I never thought we'd be in such a tough position at this point in the season. Can't wait till the playoff, then we won't have to worry about garbage like this.

They showed a bracket on CFB Daily either today or yesterday and oh did it look glorious. ND v KSU and 'Bama v Oregon in the first round. It was a beautiful sight.

I will NEVER pull for usc. And it doesnt matter, Oregon will beat them by 21.

Oregon and USC play in the PAC 12 title game. Oregon is #2 and ND is #3. USC wins and ND gets in the title game, you still wouldn't pull for USC?

I have said many times I would never root for SC unless it helped us get to a title game...

it'll be my first time, but I'll be rooting for them.

If USC winning got ND in the title game... I would dress up like Tommy Trojan and ride Traveler through the CF HOF while singing the SC fight song. Sorry, that's how much I love ND.

In the words of Dr. Suess:
I would not, could not root for USC!

I love seeing the sadness on the smug faces of my co-workers that went to USC. 2 months ago they were projecting a BCS NC and another Heisman Tropy with the last name Barkely on it. Screw 'em everywhere and always.

Yeah, people from outside Cali can't really understand how we feel about it.

Personally, I can NEVER root for those guys. However, this week (and even against the SEC), I won't be rooting against them as hard. I won't root either way actually, because either outcome is great for me...

I'm from California and I grew up HATING USC. I'm from northern California and have since moved to southern California. I am constantly around these USC fans. They are clowns and I despise them more than any other fan base on the planet.

That being said, I hope USC wins by 10,000 points and makes Oregon look like a Pop Warner team.

Two of the top 4 teams need to lose. Obviously I don't want one of those teams to be ND so 2/3 need to lose. I don't care who they are or how it happens.

Exactly. I was born in LA and grew up an ND fan in southern California during the 1970s and early 1980s. It was excruciating having to deal with those clowns. Despite the ramifications of the Oregon game, for me cheering for southern cal is tantamount to cheering for al Qaeda.

BUT

I can't stand listening to that Horrible SC fight song...its like their band only knows one song...

I hope someone out there can help or get the word started...

Band rarely travels to SC. Not sure last time they were there. Did not go during my time in 94 or 96.

Huh. I know there is a video of the band playing in the Colosium from just a few years ago on YouTube. Must have been why I thought they went there often

Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks has often represented UND at the USC game in L.A.

It's not the distance as Mom and ND noted, the game in L.A. is usually around Thanksgiving break.

We may not get many more opportunities for Oregon, Alabama, and K State to lose...especially given the remaining schedules of a few of them. Any opportunity that presents itself until at least 2 of the 3 lose...I will be rooting for their opponents each week.

Its funny that the ND band came to Dublin 2 times in 2012 but wont go to LA for probably the biggest game of the decade! :)

Believe it or not, they don't have unlimited funds. Normally, the band only goes to 2 or 3 away games a year. Heck, they didn't even travel to michigan state this year.

Definitely more than it used to be. We would get one away game and the bowl each year.
