If we flip Hawkins, with the possibility of LJ and AM coming on board.

And a final spot for Clements, Folston, IS, or Redfield, etc.

Oh my boys. Oh my.

Rack Em- Take 1 more corner. Sounds like depends who commits first
DE/Cat- Sounds like this spot might be saved for Alquain
Best available- Really all depends on who.

That's kinda what I thought. Thanks.

GB, do think that is one true corner or just first come first serve in the secondary? Because there seems to be a lot of talk about we like some of these guys as combos.

Might trade a 5th year guy for a stud recruit...

At this point, don't we have to bring Carlo and Fox back. Fox has been great most of the season and Carlo has looked pretty good the last couple of games. Also CW isn't getting enough carries to be drafted well (I don't think). Also, at this point, it doesn't seem to me anybody on the O-Line has looked like high draft pick (although I'm not expert enough to be able to tell). I'm not wild aout Tausch, but are we really going to have the whole season depend on whether Kyle goes without an injury.

Anyway, long winded way of saying "is there really many spots left?"

Just one guy in the secondary between Moore or Hawkins. Are you asking me if we would turn away Redfield? No we wouldn't and I would drive to Cali to pick him up and help him move in.

Don't worry bro: USC boosters already bought him an Escalade.

No I know we'd never turn away redfield but r we specifically targeting a cb/s hybrid and a CB? to take up two spots.

Tryin to not get long winded on these posts but a better way to ask it might be if Redfield committed do u think we'd continue to recruit pure cornerbacks like hawkins and luke.

No, we definitely have a spot for one DB ... the first to commit of the six we are targeting gets the spot. I think GB was saying that he thinks Moore and Hawkins are looking most likely to commit right now.

Then we have one "best available" spot that we MAY use on a DB, depending on who it is and which DB has already committed. (A third spot will go to someone at another position -- A. Muhammad if he wants it, maybe Folston, or we may take both and not use this spot on a DB)

If Hawkins commits first, we would still take Redfield. I think that's safe to say. Probably also Willis and Mack. All three are top 50 players.

Beyond that I think we are guessing. If Redfield committed first, I could see us shutting it down at DB and taking Folston and A. Muhammad with the remaining spots. Personally I would rather see us take a pure CB like Hawkins, Luke or Mack than Folston, but that's just me.

We won't take 4 more. I doubt we will even take 3 more.

We'll definitely find a way to take 3 more*

*depending on who comes back for another year and who doesn't... hard to make assumptions on Cierre, Eifert, Nix, etc. right now.

Does anyone think there is a chance guys like Luke Massa get moved to medical? Tore his ACL, no chance at breaking WR rotation, etc.

Be interesting in regards to Max, we would take him in a second but the posters on the USC forum dont appear to be too worried about him decommitting. They believe once he returns home and lets the visit cool that he will talk to SU SU and everything will stay the same. I hope for a different outcome.

IMO you give one up (I think Carlo) to take a star like Mack.

Mack, Max, Muhammad, Folston, and Moore, none will be turned away, imo. BK will make room for them.

I'm still convinced that BK will take a potential 4-year star over almost any 5th year guy, including Cierre. No knock on Wood, he's our best back. But these guys are potential 3/4 year difference makers.

IMO, you need to keep Martin, Watt, and Wood if they want to return. Dan Fox, too. Inside backer looks like the weak point of our defense next year and having a veteran back there would definitely help ease the transition with a new starter in there.

Kiel stays at least one more year. If Golson doesn't step his game up, Kiel has a legitimate shot to take the starting job next season.

Gunner isn't going anywhere if Golson doesn't start lighting up the scoreboard. Golson WILL get ALOT better, but it will take time. I think Gunner sticks around and waits for his shot to compete. It becomes a question of how quickly can Gunner improve? Can he master the playbook before Golson starts to figure it all out?
