Texas is losing to the A's right now in the top of the 8th. Choking away the AL west, rooting for the A's here.

Also, got to say this has been a pretty magical season for the Nats... but without Strasburg I don't see us going all the way. Rotation and bullpen have not been nearly as dominant in the later half of the season and the hitting we have is too sporadic. Also, unlike the Braves and Reds... we don't have "game over" closer... although Storen has been pitching pretty well since being given his job back.

This match-up would be a dream come true.

As far as the O's at 5, I don't love the one game wild card situation for us because our starters have been known to get shelled a time or two (see our bizarre negative run differential for much of the season despite having a winning record). But, if we get by that, or hopefully bypass that wild card game, I really like our chances in a series. Very tough bullpen which hasn't been blowing leads and team that has been great at coming from behind and at winning in extra innings. I put the A's ahead of the Yankees, the Yankees ahead of the O's, and the O's third.

PS - @ACamp, I told you the Angels would be watching St Louis in the playoffs this year. Good thing they got lucky and got Trout, because Pujols isn't the free pass to the playoffs LA thought he was.
