It doesn't help ND get more exposure because they have more of that than any other program and I'll never believe this type of stuff has any big impact on recruiting.

You'd be surprised. What do you think the 15- and 16-year-old stud football players are doing on Saturday? Laquon Treadwell isn't going to commit to Notre Dame after he sees Coach Kelly on Gameday for two minutes tomorrow, obviously. It's all about planting seeds and keeping Notre Dame at the forefront of the national discussion.

When other schools are pulling every [illegal] trick in the book to land recruits, every little bit helps.

I'm with you. I know you're a young cat, but I've been around just long enough to see some batsh!t crazy things in college football.

I just keep thinking why can't this be ND years to really shine. I can legitimately see ND winning 11 regular season games (maybe even winning them all). It's just a different feel this year. These kids expect to win. They expect it every week.

They could also struggle and win only 8 or 9 also. It's just that I would rather be optimistic than not. It really doesn't matter because no matter what happens I love this team and the kids that work so hard to make it a team. I believe in the staff and, most importantly, I believe in Manti Te'o. It's enough for me.

IMO, the next 4 games will be tougher than the last four. Not necessarily because the teams are better but because we don't match up as well. We're going to have to score some points to beat Miami and Oklahoma. Apparently BYU rediscovered their offense last night. And Stanford may have lost but they're still pretty nasty in the trenches. That game's going to be brutal.
But if we win even three of these games, this will indeed be a special year.

I watched some ESPN Gameday this morning. Everything was about the conferences. Notre Dame wasn't even mentioned, even in the context of beating three B1G teams already. So, it is good that Kelly is going to be on the show, and get to highlight his Top 10 football team.

Like it or not ESPN is the hub of college football. We need to constantly find a way to get attention on ESPN. The best way is to keep winning. Then, they can't ignore us.

I wouldn't be surprised if they used the jet. It is a 3 hour drive from South Bend to East Lansing, or a sub-1 hour flight.

Really could do it either way.

It takes you THREE HOURS to get from South Bend to East Lansing!! OMFG!

Its never taken me much more than two at worst. There's three different ways you can go, and none of them should take you that long unless you're riding in an amish buggy.
