Henry probably won't be used as a RB. He's too tall. One of the services has him rated as a TE.

my sense is a bama (and a lot of others) would tell him what he wanted to hear ("your the next ingram/richardson")....and swithc him once hes there.

bottom line: this kid wants to play rb.

I agree. I just don't see anyway he stays at RB.

EDIT: I thought someone graded Henry as a TE, but they all have his as an ATH.

I believe Bama already has the top TE(Howard) in the country on board.

AND Josh McNeil as well. They have two RBs already committed and Yeldon is a stud. Somebody will go...

If not now, someone will be left holding the proverbial bag on NSD. Or maybe Nick the snake just bumps someone already on schollie.

... but don't anybody get excited. Tenpenney is excited about playing with Derrick Henry at 'Bama and he has no plans to visit ND currently. He still might give us an OV but it sounds like he is all 'Bama right now, unless he gets blown away by Arkansas or Oklahoma State (OVs scheduled).

For those that missed the deleted post, it noted that per B&G, ND is still pursuing a couple of recruits for CB and RB and were hunting big game, staying in touch with prospects like Tenpenny who might visit ND someday.

Like Emcee I'll get excited when I read about an impending visit. Lots can happen in 4 months. Meanwhile I like that the coaches continue to market ND.

The post also mentioned according to B&G, if I recall correctly (it disappeared when I refreshed my screen, Ironman is quick), that ND only had two more slots to fill.

As long as he stays healthy I think altee will end up in 3-4yrs. being the best back out of this class. And tho I would welcome him with open arms I dont' think he should play in a spread offense. He has NFL back written all over him ala Ray rice, McCoy, Foster etc.

Sorry but all that was , was the teaser they email me to sign up for the premium info.

True dat, I get those all the time too. Sometimes they even e-mail articles to me about recruiting with some pretty nice info! I'm just cheap and do not want to pay for stuff that I find out anyways.

I'm very curious about the RB position at Bama, i'm sure that they are dealing with transfers rumors as well.

T.J. Yeldon
Derrick Henry
Dee Hart
Altee Tenpenny
Tyren Jones
Kenyan Drake
Jalston Fowler
Alvin Kamara

They signed four studs last NSD: Derrick Henry, Altee Tenpenny, Alvin Kamara and Tyren Jones (the last two look like they are having a redshirt year).

Yeldon obviously is the starter, Drake is the #2 and he is getting more leadership each passing week Then Fowler is the #3. Dee Hart is a ST stud but only gets carries in garbage time. Henry and Tenpenny are in the same situation.

Looks like someone will be leaving soon if you ask me..

Rumors are Kamara is really unhappy and looking to possibly transfer.

This is why I have a hard time believing that Bo ends up there. This is the best/deepest position group in the entire country in my opinion.

Kamara committed to Bama on NSD! How in the world did he not see this then? This didn't come out of nowhere? This was obviously going to happen months ago.

I was surprised by Kamara committing to us. Not sure if it was ego that drove him to think he'd beat everyone else out, if he just wanted to be part of the program, or if he just didn't think it through. We are beyond loaded at the RB position to the point that even 5-star recruits are struggling to find any real playing time. Unless I was a Fournette or Scarborough type super-elite RB and willing to wait a year or so to be the man at Bama, I'd go somewhere else where I had a reasonable shot at playing time.
