What are we recruiting him as?

On a side note...who ever would have thought that a correctional officer would grow up and be a gangster rapper... sorry had to say that

Nothing on this one yet?

Mister Crazy For Irish

Said visit was better than expected in every way, it almost seemed like a movie to him how crazy everything was. Notre Dame leads, and he's "pretty sure [he's] going there 100 percent." Also said he is about 8.5 or 9 out of 10 to committing and almost did Saturday night. Parents want him to take his time and make sure. All his "mom talks about is Notre Dame."

That's great news! Deal sounds sealed when mom is on our side! Loving all this positive buzz!!!

not 100% but I think ND and most schools like him at WR and he is fine with that.

Edit: just went back and looked at the 247 junior visit page and Sapp says ND is recruiting him as a QB/WR/DB.

haha no doubt.

i thank my lucky stars there was no xbox, itouch, wii, internet, cable tv with 1000 channels when i was a kid.

all we did was play outside and play hard regardless of weather and with zero parental supervision

heres how i lived my young life:
go to school.
come home grab whatever snack that was there to be had.
play outside till either: 1) it got dark or 2) mom/dad screamed me and my brothers name across the town to get home for dinner or 3) 1 and 2

those were the days

Even crazier is that it was like that for me as a kid as well, and I'm only in my mid 20s. Times have changed quite fast.

Yup Im in my early 20's and it feels like kids don't go outside anymore. When I help younger kids they always say as soon as I get home I'm playing "insert video game here".

For us it was Football on concrete... good times.

Ditto... It's absolutely sickening at that. I, 27, look at my younger cousins (being the 2nd oldest of 30ish) with disgust. We weren't allowed in the house as a kid, with the exception of rainy days and even then we played American Gladiators in the basement. <---not the video game, reenacted the show!

yuck.

You can blame the kids and it is partly their fault. But, the world has changed. There are sick freaks and people getting shot. The world just isn't as safe as it once was.

I'm old enough to remember the 1st nintendo, and trust me, you had enough couch-sitting, even in the 80's...

People are also having less kids these days -- there's a lot less to do outside when you're alone.

As my profile says I'm from Los Angeles, the not so nice part of LA. Even though a few people around us were getting shot and what not as teens/young adults, we still played at the park or outside.

Plus programs were put in place, at least in LA, that kept school grounds open after school so kids have a safe place to play. Now I don't know about other places but now when I see elementary kids on the playground there is always a group huddled together playing video games with a huge bag of flaming hot cheetos with nacho cheese...

Mid West Recruiting ‏@MWRECRUITING1
Second question for Tommy: "Are the #Irish still near the top?"

Mid West Recruiting ‏@MWRECRUITING1
@Tommy_Mister: "They are high but right now Illinois is number one. If I had to commit tomorrow it'd be there."

Winder if we have backed off a little bit to see other higher ranked prospects.

staff prolly feels pretty good about dawkins at QB and we're in it early without a lot of elite guys at the skill positions...no need to rush here.

I am saying in high school he switch from QB to RB. I do not believe he will play QB in college. He probably realize he will get better offers as an ATH than a QB.

I agree, just sharing what the services have him listed at now. I think ulimately he'll be a WR when all is said and done.
