This article is poorly written but I agree that we should have won by more than 7. I'm ecstatic and proud of the win and record but with 5 turnovers on your side the score should have been different.

We held UM to fewer points than Alabama did.... Regardless of how "overrated" our opponents are, our defense is out of this world. I seem to remember Bama winning a national title with a QB who nobody knew his name.

Last year, Alabama and LSU play to a 9-6 ending score. The press cites this as just a good 'ole SEC rivalry where the defenses stifle each other's offense....

This year, ND and Michigan play to a 13-6 ending score. The press cites this as just a poor year for Michigan and ND not playing anyone special yet.....

This is why Notre Dame is always relevant. Writing an article about Notre Dame is a guaranteed success on the ratings/viewership/clickings to the site.

Before we beat up on Michigan State: "MSU has a great defense and a great running game, they are the cream of the Big 10 crop and will beat ND." After the game: "MSU is overrated and their offense is a relic from the past, easily defended, ND beat a weak sister."

Before beating Michigan: "Michigan is a top 20 team, certainly not in Alabama's class but Denard Robinson will beat Notre Dame again." After the game: "The Big 10 is not worthy of BCS status and Notre Dame won only because of the turmovers."

These guys have their conclusions drawn before the kickoff. My take: great teams win ugly games. Great teams sometimes play below their capabilities and still tough out wins. 4-0 is 4-0. The team has some things to work on, two weeks to work on them and are undefeated. I expect them to be better after the bye and better much better by the end of the season.

Does this really surprise anyone when our 3/4 of our wins were against Big Ten opponent? It seems like every week they have been ripping the Big Ten for bad losses and bad performances. We will have to win 2 of 3 from Oklahoma, USC and Stanford to get the respect we deserve.

In no way am I saying that the SEC is not tough nor dominant. The BCS wins for the SEC speak for themselves. But to negate the toughness of a rivalry and the scoring just because the teams are not in the SEC is utterly stupid.
