Im going with the over 51.5
Im scared of a couple big plays by Denard netting them 20 ish points. I think we have to score ~ 30 to win and will.

I would expect the actual line to tighten up a ton by game day.

If you are all not in on ND, you should hand in your fan cards now.

I'm not handing in shi!t, but I'm not touching this game with a ten foot pole, either. I'm watching this game by myself, in the dark, with a bottle of Jameson and six pack of Guinness.

Agreed though I reserve the right to stick needles into a voodoo doll of shoelaces.

Right there with you man. I'm going to buy twelve bottles of Guinness and be hunched over with my hands in the prayer pose for the whole game. I won't rest easy till the clock hits zero.

I may not even watch... this game has ruined me three years running... none worse than last year... seriously, I had the front window shade open and the neighbors across the street brought out lawn chairs and watched the fireworks... I knew they were doing it, and couldn't stop myself...

not my better moments.

Dude, I've sat outside on your lawn peering in your windows and I never saw any fireworks. You really shouldn't stand in front of the open fridge in your underwear...

If you are all not in on ND, you should hand in your fan cards now.

Just because you are a ND fan doesn't mean you have to think they will win every game and put all your money on them. You can be a fan and be real at the same time. I personally think ND will win this game by at least 7 but after the past two ND vs M games you can't fault people for being leery. I have also never won a bet on who is going to win the ND game so last week i threw money on MSU to win to jinx them. Is there such a thing as a jinx probably not but i was going to be happy or make out vBucks wise either way the game went. Just out of curiosity do you have a final score prediction?

Betting on your team to win is hexing your team. It's the first rule of gambling. It has nothing to do with "believing in your team", a certain amount of football is luck.

I believe in karma, and I wont allow my bet on my team (again, the first rule of gambling is to never bet on teams you root for) to make the ball bounce the wrong way.

Just my opinion...

I don't agree with "betting the other team because you are happy either way." Its a violation to bet against your favorite team for that reason. Just dont bet. If you bet with your favorite team and they win, its double the joy.

But I guess with vBucks, it doesnt matter. If I bet with real money against ND and ND lost, I'd be happier I got the money than angrier ND lost.

I guess vbucks doesnt really matter, but if it doesnt really matter, then just stick with ND. Unless you really think ND wins by 4-5 points, then I maybe it is ok.

Its like Vegas, when you are hot, ride the wave. Thats what I did with UCONN 2 years ago. I won like 12 straight for something like a 1-2 Billion.

this is a tough call. I can see this going way under or way over 51 and I also see an equal chance of squeaking out a less than 5 point victory or winning by 20 (yet still being under). I have no idea which way to go on this one.

Maybe I'll just wait to bet it all on ND straight up even though that will probably pay like 20%.

I base my prediction on last years game.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Michigan Wolverines - Box Score - September 10, 2011 - ESPN

In case you forgot. UM scored 28 points in the 4Q. 5 turnovers by us. 300 yards passing, 200 yards rushing.

They lost their best receiver. They lost their 2 best DL in Martin and VanBergen. Countess is out. Denard had 108 yards rushing, the other RBs? Not so much. Hemingway is gone, he of 178 yards receiving.

We lost Floyd, our secondary is thin but capable. Our DL is in full on beast mode. Also lost Gary Gray, which is addition by subtraction.

UM won last year because ND allowed them to win. The turn overs (Mostly Rees) killed us. There won't be that many this year, if at all.

If you don't see this as anything but a blow out, especially what Alabama, Air Force and to a lesser extent UMass has done to them, then you have no faith.

Golson will give another pedestrian and efficient effort only because the run is going to gash the hell out of the UM line and LBs.

Mattison was asked if practising against Denard helps prepare for Golson and he agreed. Only difference is, imo, that Golson can actually pass and DRob arm punts.

We are going to roll and Kelly is not going to take the foot off the gas this time.

My first concern is Denard. He can suck all year and for done reason when people play us we bring out the best in them. I don't think Denard is a great player but he is great at pulling off crap plays that are major for his team. I also see some turnovers by us. Golsen when he runs runs with the ball hanging out there and tucks it in for the hit. All it takes is one person from behind to knock it out. Also Golsen's passes are not on the mark yet. The long ball he over throws by three yards. All the rest of his passes are dangerously underthrown. I feel that the UM defense will see and take advantage of our learning quarterback in these treetop areas and they will lead to turnovers. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying 5 turnovers but i have a bad feeling a miss timed turnover is going to hurt us bad.

Your optimism is scaring the **** outta me right now Phorky. I tend to agree with all of your points. Though the only wild card I see in this game is Denard. If the Irish D contains mini Predator and smack him in the mouth like what Alabama did to him the Irish should roll.

Now I get the "Be Real" lecture... That is funny.

I want trying to lecture you. I was just giving you the other side of the argument. I stayed away from the areas you got in trouble in. I don't know what happened or who was right. When i post something i am not trying to dig at you because i don't know anything about your past other than something happened and you started a thread that said you wouldn't posting anymore. Were you right? Were you wrong?i don't know i stayed away from it. Don't take anything a say personal.

you really need to proofread jade. If phork said he wouldn't pussy anymore, I'd just congratulate him on his lifestyle choice.
