But there are a bunch of people in this, and other threads, who are going to look like total imbeciles, if BK reports this week that George Atkinson was not physically 100% for this game, and that limited his touches.
I got one question for all the haters? IF not BK, then who?! Gimme a couple of names that you would suggest...who would be real/worthwhile possibilities of actually getting?! I can't come up with one!?
When we blow out Navy, we are going all the way. When we win a tight game, that we would have lost a few years ago, we aren't good enough. Some of you guys just don't live in reality.

Think op is off-base, but I do agree that Kelly's failure to shape a real offensive identity for this team is puzzling.

I'm going to guess that Kelly and Company (the other coaches) are probably more informed than you, re: George Atkinson's gamebreaking potential vs. other players' gamebreaking potential. That being said........ I'm not sure why he didn't get more touches, either. I do have to admit I cannot stand the team looking over at the sideline to get the plays before every snap. I don't see Oregon doing this and if they do it is for a half second.
Almost every spread offense does that.
I guess one thing I don't understand is why the AD didn't read the IE message boards when we were searching for a head coach? Clearly there are many, many qualified candidates on here.
The annoying thing is the level of detail that is needed though. Oregon gives a signal based on field position, down, and distance and then the QB makes the decision as to which option to go with based on the look that the defense gives him. The problem is that EG can't do this yet. So we get the original signal, which puts us into formation, then EG gets under center, then he backs up, so that the coaches who saw the defense can tell him what to do and what to tell the line for their protection package, then he gets back under center, then he snaps the ball. I hope Golson gets to where he can actually read the D himself, because what we did today won't work in a hostile East Lansing. It's going to be an issue all year.
It usually is an issue with a newbie QB. Particularly one playing without the benefit of a 1,000 yd rusher and a 1,000 yd receiver.
Third, I thought Rees looked just as awful as always, and don't see what he did that was so amazing.
Wow. This is just making me tired.
