Immokalee cornerback Mackensie Alexander is one of the most heavily recruited players in the state.
He is also a prospect that is taking things slowly.
“I am just staying in contact with a bunch of schools, watching them play as much as possible, and trying to figure out where I will take official visits,” said Alexander, whose Indians traveled to Central Florida and earned a solid win over Sanford Seminole Friday night.
“I want to help the team early and play and am looking for an aggressive defense. Clemson, Notre Dame, Alabama, FSU, Miami, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Wisconsin are the schools I am in contact with the most. I might be able to take one official visit during our off-week, but the rest will come after the season and I hope this season lasts until the late December (with the state championships).”
Alexander is the No. 4 cornerback in the country according to Scout.com, No. 7 CB according to Rivals, and the No. 2 CB (sixth overall prospect) according to ESPN.
