The striking out of a formal address and personally substituting a first-name-basis is high class "I-care-about-you" signification. Similarly, the personally written in "Welcome to the Irish Family" is exactly that. I'd have done almost exactly the same thing. It shows that you are taking the person into one's care as much more than some "business hire". ... you guys need to step back for a moment and see the human rather than the "conspiratorial" side of these things. Isn't it just possible that Coach REALLY DOES CARE a lot about his players?? I think that Kelly is one of the most genuine coaches that I've seen, and his success meeting with players and their families shows it.

Would Alex have shown the letter if HE had interpreted it as anything second class or sloppy??

We had a president of a company I worked for, who was a really hands on CEO, and he used to do that, as you deducted Mike. The letter would say, "Dear Alex:" or Dear Mr. Anzalone: and he would make an edit line like a fraction mark and hand write the persons first name. It implied that you had a close personal relationship with the president of the company. People framed them and displayed them on their ego wall.

You are literally the worst.

Awesome. Simple, and awesome.

Gator... some people value your insight here because as a board we actually enjoy respectful dialogue with other fan bases. But unless it's way, way tongue in cheek... Why even say it? What's the point? It's a statement designed simply to get a rise out of people on THEIR OWN BOARD.

Give it a rest, man.

He's been given one final warning and then he's gone if we even hear a hint of bullsh!t like this anymore...

He proofread that post 5 times.

Terry, a chara,

Isn't it "proofreaded"? So did we ever figure out what the blind gator was saying? Is he really serious in admitting that Sherit is too smart for Friday Night Lights, aka, the University of Florida Gators, Football program? All I can say is "WOW." Just, "WOW!" Confirmation would be appreciated because I do not see him in the following video of the teams practice.

Beir bua agus beannacht,

Grehar the Bogtrotter

Anzalone is perfectly placed for a storybook career at Notre Dame [even getting Manti's number] and I'll bet he sees that clearly.

On the other side of this: I thought originally that the Gator fan was an adult who could bring civilized discussion to the board, but he is actually quite childish. Disappointing. Probably some kid in a basement, it seems, from his inability to penetrate the mysteries of social intelligence. It would be nice in a civil world to have fans from all over posting views on IE, which were informative and respectful of the IE community. This other behavior is more like the "who gives a sh!t" embarrassments of the notorious "ugly American", who pays no attention to the cultural mores of other countries when he visits. A very lowly evolved member of our species. Here's hoping for some evolution.

Before you freak out realize it is one guy's opinion.

Comment From edward:
who else do the gators land in the r250?

Kynon Codrington (covers Southeast): Edward-They have a chance w/ Tunsil, Harris, and Anzalone IMO.

Well Alex still does talk to Florida so wouldn't shock me. I believe he sticks though.

I think so too but nothing really surprises me anymore. I would be rather disappointed though if he flipped. Trying very hard to not get excited until after signing day.

One thing is pretty clear from our recent record... someone on our current commit list will almost certainly go elsewhere... kind of a fact of life in cfb these days... is it AA??? time solves all

Yeah unfortunetly we will have our share of meltdowns over a couple of these kids, it never fails. Hopefully we don't get hit too hard this year, and even better have a good run to and through signing day! You just never know.

I can't see UF turning it around this year, they have a new O-Coordinator and they are still weeding thru the roster, they won't be a bad team I just don't think they will be on par with the better teams in the SEC. I think a similar season to ND is upcoming for them, somewhere around 7-9 wins.

UF has already had their fair share of de-commits; a few WRs and OL if I'm not mistaken.

The Gator name is not as strong right now.. if we have a 9+ win season I don't think we see anyonelse jump ship.. there would be so much hype for this team in 2013.

I'd compare it to winning the NC if we get 9+ wins this year ;)
