3 things to point out...
First, bowl predictions always have some wildcard selections that don't matter. If he's right about a game such as this he looks like a genius but if he's wrong it will get vastly overlooked especially because its not a BCS selection.
Second, it is absolutely absurd to think ND would accept a bowl game against Miami(OH). Other than extra practices given to us, what other benefit would it prove. A bowl game like that for the Irish is a lose/lose situation now matter how you look at it.
Lastly, the asterisk at the bottom states all you need to know:
* - Replacement team for conference that can't fill bids. All games are on ESPN, except for the Sun (CBS), Liberty (ABC), Outback (ABC), Cotton (FOX), TicketCity (ESPNU), Gator (ESPN2) and Independence (ESPN2). If BYU is bowl-eligible, it will play in the Poinsettia Bowl. If Army is bowl-eligible it will play in the Military Bowl. If Navy is bowl-eligible, it will play in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
Not only would ND decline a bowl bid of such a pathetic caliber but unless I'm missing something NBC would probably pay Notre dame not to play on a national network like ABC/ESPN against a team like Miami(OH).
While I see the asterisk this makes even less sense to me than any of there other projections:
New Orleans Dec. 22 New Orleans, La. Sun Belt No. 1 vs. C-USA Arkansas State vs. Louisiana Tech*
Has anyone looked at the WAC lately? if you have been as football deprived as I have been you would know that La Tech is most likely to win the WAC outright.
Another "what?" is: Holiday Dec. 27 San Diego, Calif. Pac-12 No. 3 vs. Big 12 No. 5 Washington vs. West Virginia
Note: No asterisk. lol.
Sorry for the wall of text but this projection list is so absurd it made me consider harassing the author for being a moron. Maybe I should go to bed before I analyze this abomination any further.
