Nice reading comprehension. I said it was interesting how different people/families prioritize things. Every year there are hundreds of kids who put a premium on staying close to home, and every year there are hundreds of kids who don't. Each approach has merit of its own right. ND has plenty of kids who go both ways... guys like Gunner Kiel and Jaylon Smith who put a premium on proximity and guys like Keivarae Russel and Stephon Tuitt who did the opposite.

EDIT: there was a DCIRISH who got banned on here before... doesn't look like you're the same guy.... I don't think.

It's funny how you call so many people out for their reading comprehension when they are critical of your comments. Your comment was extremely smug. Questioning Chans' parents priorities is deplorable.

No, the fact is you fail multiple times at it. Like you did in the @GBDomer thread. I don't call out "so many people." I call out guys like you and DCIrish. Why? Because you fail at it. Guys like you half-read a post and then chime in with posts that imply/assume so much stuff that simply isn't there. Look at how many people responded to you the last time and pointed out how wrong you were.

As for DCIrish... did you read my previous post #93 from 6/14? Here it is.

The weird thing is how different ASU and ND are. I guess understanding wanting to stay home. If ASU goes 4-8 though it'll be interesting to see what happens. They play an easy schedule, as good as 10-2 is possible, but they could also lose all but the opener with how many question marks their team has.

I've been completely consistent here. I get wanting to stay home. I said it was interesting. Here's the dictionary definition of interesting for you: engaging or exciting and holding the attention or curiosity.

So either one of you please explain to me what is "smug" or how that "Clearly it seems like you think the kid made a mistake." I'll wait.

I've already explained why I think it's interesting... and that's that so many kids/families prioritize it so differently. Some don't care at all, for others it's the singular most important thing. Simply interesting... and that's all.

You guys are picking a fight with the wrong guy over the wrong thing.

It's not for everybody. :meditate:

Did you misinterpret my reply ... lol .... as Lax pointed out the definition of "interesting" is engaging or exciting and holding the attention or curiosity.

I love your posts Lax, but I'm not sure why you are digging your heals in on this one. From looking at the convo, you and nuke must have some past history. The word interesting can mean lots of different things depending on how it is used. It can imply something is odd or dumb. The previous sentence of the now famous "interesting" post almost seemed to imply that Chans chose ASU because of partying and girls. If that is not what you meant, can we simply admit that it may not have been worded in the best possible manner? Nuke's response was a little overdramatic which probably pushed your buttons. There are lots of things that are deplorable in life, saying your comment was one of them was a bit over the top.

I saw nothing wrong with lax's interesting comment. He simply said its interesting to see how different families emphasize different aspects of recruiting. He is correct about reading comprehension failure of others.

Ok ok, deplorable is over the top. Dumb is probably the word I should have used. My bad. I don't know what history I'm supposed to have with him but he sure seems to get po 'd whenever I post and referred to me as the worst poster on IE. Bottom 10 maybe but no way I'm the worst. Also in clearly not the only one who read his post in a negative context.

Maybe not but a lot of people take things said in a forum way to personal and then go into dramatic overdrive for whatever reason.

Yep, like I said I went over the top. My bad. Got caught up in the moment and thought it was an awesome time to use the word "deplorable" and clearly it was not.

That's exactly it. Ever since this gem of a post (make sure you read them all before you get to his at #14) I haven't been a fan of his. DCIrish is just collateral damage; and I probably shouldn't have been so hard on him.

The reason I dislike "nuke" is his schtick. If you go read through his posts over time, they are almost all either:

1. Overstatements/misstatements with no attempt to justify the overstatement with facts.
2. Purposely antagonistic towards a poster.
3. Attempt to warp what someone is saying into a completely different statement.

For a long time I just thought he was a troll... now I'm not so sure. But it's his MO and he's done it in multiple threads and I flat out don't tolerate. I don't expect much on the internet, but the one thing I do expect is for people to thoroughly read posts and respond accordingly. He seems to read the first half a sentence then come up with a half-baked reactionary thesis that derails the thread. I guess "nuke" is a fitting name...

Lol. How sad that you are holding a grudge from a post someone made on the internet. Get over it. I'm sorry that I don't uphold your internet etiquette criteria. I'm done with this pissing match dude. I will not try to interpret anything else you post. Also, may I suggest that next time you take your grievances to PM instead of trying to involve everybody on IE.

Hahaha this is why I can't decide if you're a great, subtle troll or not. I'm not allowed to dislike your crappy posting? Would it be "happy" and not "sad" if instead I liked and appreciated your contrarian I-don't-read-posts style?

There is nothing else to say because you haven't had a legitimate leg to stand on this entire time. Probably since you learned the definition of interesting. You're sooo right though... I could've put all of this in a PM... like you did... oh wait... no, that's right.... you came in and posted: Your comment was extremely smug. Questioning Chans' parents priorities is deplorable. which spurred this whole back and forth.

But hey, you're making progress... this post at least has one redeeming sentence: your apology. While sarcastic, in the spirit of interpreting things as one sees fit, I will now choose to interpret it as sincere. So, apology accepted. I'm glad you realized the error of your ways and will take steps to read-first, post-later in the future.

If you call the Harlem Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals a 'feud', then yes, we have a feud. A little too one-sided for me to call it a feud bery LOL...

Nice man, LOL!

You mean GBTrojan!

I am cool with GB, good man in my book! The sight of that tiny SC icon makes me mean...like gin, which I coincidentally might have been drinking at the time! I LOVE YOU GBDOMER!!! (no homo)

My apology wasn't sincere, but yes, I will refrain from trying to interpret your posts. I also don't care what the definition of interesting is. I am allowed to not like your comments and you're allowed to not like mine, but before you start making it personal by calling me a troll, send me a PM. I will do the same for you from now on. I don't have anything against anyone on this board and don't want to clog kid's threads but I will also call out someone out for saying something stupid. Pissing contest over.

And I used "nuke" because I work on nuclear reactors.

Mods please clean this mess up.

Saying it the first time didn't work? Oh that's right, because you had to have the last word. And then you get to arbitrarily declare things "over" and ask mods to raze the thread to the ground.

Anyways, I don't think you're a troll. I truly wasn't sure (as I clearly state twice that I'm not sure if you're trolling...) but now I think I've got it. You are the Skip Bayless of IE. It's up to you to interpret whether that's a compliment towards your ability to captivate and intrigue.... or.....

I take some pride in knowing I was STL's first when he initially began posting here. Then Terry I believe, GB, NDinL.A., (and probably others along the way too-- my apologies, comrades, for forgetting those who remain nameless).

The rise to the top as the resident IE scrapper is a long, arduous journey.

Oh. And reps, dude, for the Globetrotters/Generals reference!
