The first quote is in reference to Anzalone. The second quote is in reference to him being on College Game Day on the mother ship.

Stumbled across a web site that had film breakdowns of our current 2013 commits and posted all of them to this thread. Now posting to the individual recruits thread.

The analysis is done by Matt Alkire who worked for Scout for a number of years. Here is his bio for anyone who cares

Matt Alkire is also employed by Fox Sports where he works as a college and high school football recruiting analyst, mainly covering the Northeast portion of the country for Scout.com where he coordinates with players, coaches and administrators at the high school and collegiate levels. He is a regular for many ESPN radio affiliates for both the NFL Draft and high school recruiting, contributes on a regular basis to Fox publications and was also featured in former New England Patriot All-Pro Brent William’s book “Recruit My Son”. He has been doing extensive film study since the 2003 season for the NFL Draft. As a football player, Alkire played both defensive end and tight end and comes from a family with a rich coaching background.

The Elite 11 Selection Show (Thursday, 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU) will profile the 12 players who have already been announced, while also unveiling the additional dozen competitors who will be part of the 24-player field in the Elite 11 finals, which takes place July 18 to 22. The finals will be shown in two parts on ESPN with "Elite 11 QB Camp: The Finals" airing Tuesday, Aug. 7, and Tuesday, Aug. 14.

^^^Anyone have any idea what happened with him? Was he just sick or what? I haven't seen any stories about injuries but I saw that Deeb tweeted him wishing him to get better.

Saw that a couple days ago. Think he was just sick; do not believe he picked up an injury.

Did he come to ND's camp and pick up a virus there? I know there was a small epidemic during those camps.

Meh.....The rankings don't mean squat at this point. He's committed. The only people that care about this now are leg humpers and bridge trolls.

Hmmm, but which is worse, I wonder? I got to go with the leg humpers personally.

I sat back and really thought before I posted. This is a good thing. I cannot wait for the Elite 11 competition. I pray fervently that Malik makes every Lace Curtain, dandy of a recruit that is rated above him, eat dirt. I mean it. I want to see Malik prove everybody wrong! And for the few that are hardworking and justifiably rated, I hope he kicks their @sses too

I think I read that he has looked ok and is throwing despite a thumb injury. Is that correct?

JC Shurburtt did [only] say Malik looked "OK", but the working through thumb injury comments were about Tennessee commit Riley Ferguson.

Today's drills were just against air, no defense at all, not even DB's so this is all about arm strength and fundamentals today.

Ahh. Thank you for the clarification. Glad to know he is in good health and I am not concerned by Mr. Shurburtt's tepid response.

Also. Greg Biggens listed Malik as his Top Gun performer for day 1 saying he didn't see him throw a bad pass, connecting on a couple of deep throws. And, a guy named, Kevin Carden, said Malik was his biggest surprise, saying although he wasn't the biggest guy there he was slinging the ball all over the field with great velocity and accuracy.

Re: Malik

JC Shurburrt: "He has been better today. In fact, Trent Dilfer praised him a couple of times. Not his setting, though."
