Matt Alkire is also employed by Fox Sports where he works as a college and high school football recruiting analyst, mainly covering the Northeast portion of the country for Scout.com where he coordinates with players, coaches and administrators at the high school and collegiate levels. He is a regular for many ESPN radio affiliates for both the NFL Draft and high school recruiting, contributes on a regular basis to Fox publications and was also featured in former New England Patriot All-Pro Brent William’s book “Recruit My Son”. He has been doing extensive film study since the 2003 season for the NFL Draft. As a football player, Alkire played both defensive end and tight end and comes from a family with a rich coaching background.
The Elite 11 Selection Show (Thursday, 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU) will profile the 12 players who have already been announced, while also unveiling the additional dozen competitors who will be part of the 24-player field in the Elite 11 finals, which takes place July 18 to 22. The finals will be shown in two parts on ESPN with "Elite 11 QB Camp: The Finals" airing Tuesday, Aug. 7, and Tuesday, Aug. 14.

I think I read that he has looked ok and is throwing despite a thumb injury. Is that correct?
JC Shurburtt did [only] say Malik looked "OK", but the working through thumb injury comments were about Tennessee commit Riley Ferguson.
Today's drills were just against air, no defense at all, not even DB's so this is all about arm strength and fundamentals today.
If you don't want to watch the video, he talked about Malik for a few seconds and described him has having a "quick delivery" and being "very, very accurate."
