Fldomer my source is me. Also very tough pull from south but great to get him on campus. His brother is good but Mackenzie on another level wouldn't be a wasted scholarship idk if he is coming

I think we should offer his brother. His brother plays a position of need so why not give him a chance? We gave Josh Atkinson a chance

It's not just about a numbers game when it comes to talent. If his brother can ball and at a position of a needed upgrade in skill, yes, you offer him.

The kid has offers from FSU, Oklahoma, TCU, Tennessee, West Virginia, and A&M.

I gleaned a little information from the Volnation board

MacKensie said IF he were to chose an in-state school, it would be probably be Florida over FSU. He is no longer interested in Miami.

One Florida poster on the board said something about the Alexander family not having many financial means and speculated that was part of the reason why he hadn't made any out of state visits. He was supposed to visit Clemson and also had planned on visiting pOSU for their spring game. Neither visit happened.

Speculation in regards to a package deal with his brother has increased over the past couple of months. With some consensus that the package deal being even more important if MacKensie were to go out of state.

I'm really excited at the news of his visit, especially with all of our commits being on campus.

His brother could probably pass up half of our Safeties on the depth chart anyways. Slaughter will be gone when if he goes here and Badger probably isn't very good.

Mackenro is only 5'11". He could just be another corner and we REALLY need help at cornerback. I think that would be the smartest thing to do

IMO That is unfair to say. Why will he be better? Because his brother is good?

Did you watch and analyze Mackenro Alexander's film and then compare it to CJ Prosise, Chris Badger, Austin Collinsworth, Eliar Hardy, Chris Salvi, & Elijah Shumate. Or Jalen Brown, Bennett Jackson, Josh Atkinson & Lo Wood?

In my opinion he is better than Hargreaves. Kid is fearless, has zero problem getting off blocks, makes the tackle, and has every bit the part of Hargreaves ball skills.

Cant go wrong with either, but this kid has that gamer mentality

His brother is a 3 star 88 rated DB. That's fine with me. If that gives us a better shot at MacKensie, then offer the damn kid

I agree 100% on this. I've been watching Alexander's recruitment a lot, because to me he is the best db in the class. The kid plays like he's 6'2" 210 manhandling receivers and making plays, but has the speed and quickness of a 5'9 170 db. I believe Hargreaves is also elite, but I think Alexander brings something extra to the table with his physicality. Would be AMAZING in our defense!

Love that he's a wrestler. Brings that mentality an toughness to the football field.

I say offer his brother, we will lose 4 safeties next year: Slaughter, Motta, Salvi, McCarthy. His brother isnt half bad either.

Cooks and Alford need some major props for making this happen on a weekend when Zaire, Heuerman, Onwualu, Kinlaw, Bivin, Matuska, Jaylon Smith, and others are going to be there.

Sick.

Anzalone is coming too. There are some nice tidbits from Onwualu about him in this Onwualu Ready For Big Weekend article.

And why were at it, why not take both MacKensie AND Vernon?!

Oh, and I'm in the 'offer his brother' camp. With some major offers, the kid has skills. BK could find a place for him. We tend to focus on offense and defense only but we must remember the 3rd way in football... special teams. I have to look into it more, but if MacKensie's bro has half as much talent as MacKensie, he would be a stud gunner on punts and kickoffs. ST is the oft forgotten but an oh, so important aspect of this beautiful game.

247 has him at 6'1..Rivals has him at 6'0..ESPN has him at 6'0..I think FS is best position for him as ESPN has zone coverage and instincts as his best traits. After reading their report, kinda sounds like Slaughter in his own right.

Scout lists him at 5'11 so that probably where he got it from but he is definitely talked than his 5'11 brother.

Agreed.

FS and Corner are very different, a hard switch, if it was easy Hardy would probably be there now

I'm referring to Mackenro, not Mackensie.
