LA will probably rip me for this but we have a conflict.

“@NYPost_Brazille: New top 5 for Jefferson DE Ebenezer Ogundeko: Notre Dame, Arizona State, Syracuse, Florida and UConn, per his coach. #psalfootball”

“@NYPost_Brazille: Ogundeko will commit Aug. 14. #psalfootball”

Per tunnel vision Plans to make a decision at the UA game. ND leads. Syracuse and ASU look to be the main competition. He is first cousins with #1 overall player Robert Nkemdiche

Wonder if he still feels this way.

Locking down the Big Apple has been a priority of Doug Marrone, and because of it Syracuse may land a dynamic 1-2 punch. Highly sought-after DE Ebenezer Ogundeko from New York City confirms to The Fizz he and fellow Brooklyn-ite Augustus Edwards want to play together in college. “That’s definitely the plan,” admitted the huge 6’4″, 265 lb. edge rusher. Edwards is a running back from Tottenville HS, and he has played against Ogundeko his whole life. Ebo and AE are two of top prospects in the state, and whoever lands the duo is getting a huge impact pair. Ogundeko says the plan is already in the works.

'Cause the last time we got cousins worked so well...

I'm kind of not in support of the whole package deal thing. We've seen how it doesn't work sometimes and I've seen it in other examples. Here's one for you:

I am in a fraternity and this happened all the time with rush. We would target one kid to pledge, then some of his friends that he knew from his floor would tag along and we would take them too, cause at the time, seemed interested. As it turns out, some of them were only interested because their friend was doing it and they sucked as a fraternity brother/dropped the house their sophomore year. This happens all the time.

Long story short, package deals come back to bite you in the @ss all to frequently.

But hey, if nkem.... wants to come play here, and it's not just because he wants to play with his cousin, then come on down son!

while I mostly agree with your view on packaged deals, Te'o and Toma worked out pretty well, wasnt that considered a package deal?

Package deals that come together on signing day are slightly different than package deals that come together 8 months beforehand.

"Package deals" are what? Nothing. Everything in every example sited is all about the character of the individuals, (less personal limitations that cannot be overcome). Those with the character and ability soar. Those that don't, go to Houston. Did I say that?

Seriously. This stuff about a 17 year old vacillating back and forth, let alone a (potentially) sheltered 17 year old, facing the vomitus, noxious, vial, pustular world of college football recruiting; well I just don't understand. I have only seen one recruit in recent cycles that has broken the urge to tell people what they wanted to hear, and he admits to placating some people just to keep the ruff down.
