USC 2011 Part 2.

How many committed players did we have at USC game least year? We should have all committed players and only top uncommitted at the Mich game this year. Out seemed at the USC game the players had fun but were talking to each other about playing other places. It was a great idea but all great ideas can be improved upon.

Badger and Cam McDaniel haven't done anything yet. I just don't get when people say they're underrated.

McDaniel switched to a position he has never played before and to me, looks better than Jalen Brown and he is definitely one of the hardest workers on the team. Willingly to bet he starts in the nickel/dime ( where Collinsworth will play this year) in 2013.

That's fine, and you're right, he will probably play, but it's absurd homer-ism to call him underrated, which seems to happen every time his name comes up. Rant over lol.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound athlete from Fresno, Calif., will head to the Midwest during the final weekend of September for what figures to be his first official visit and will be his first look at Notre Dame. Moore, who also holds offers from Georgia, Oklahoma, Washington and UCLA, among others, scheduled the trip after a school visit by Irish assistant Mike Denbrock last week.

"I watched the (Notre Dame-Michigan) game last year and it was a great game and had pretty great tradition to go with it," Moore said. "I thought I might as well see that one. I love great college games."

IMO sounds like he is just coming for a ticket to the game.

I interviewed CJ for ChatIrish about a month ago... some key things I got from the interview is:

1) When Tee went that made ND an early favorite and got him curious about the school. He wanted to see what Tee liked so much about it, and that has sparked the interest that now has us as one of his leaders. He said that the schools he tweeted were all tied as his favorite.

2) He is going to wait the process out as long as possible. His words.

3) He wants to play as soon as possible. That'll be the key to his recruitment as well as whatever he wants to major in, which at that point he was undecided on.

4) He talks to Denbrock about once a week

5) The key part to his visit will be seeing if he likes the environment of the University and specifically the school's football culture (fan base, gameday atmosphere, etc.)

He also said he would like to have the number 2 but what he really wants is a chance to come in and battle for a starting spot. I think we have as good a shot as anybody. Its a toss up IMO but his interest is sincere

Thanks. Yeah, I think him being there for the Michigan game will also put our best foot forward... especially if we can win the damn game. I stay in touch with LJ a little bit so if I get any info ill be sure to post. I think playing time, stepping up the contact, and a good official visit will put us in good standing

I like how he plays up at the line of scrimmage as opposed to ten yards off like so many high school CBs do.

Well I like how well he does it. haha

He does that because he's a stud. His DC knows he will beat whomever he lines up against.

99% of CB's play with a ~7 yard cushion because step one of HS defense is stopping the big plays. Offenses don't have the discipline to nickel and dime you down the field. As a CB, if you keep everything in front of you, you've done you're job.

That's not a player doing that, it's the direction of his coach.

This is true, but it is still impressive that he is talented enough to allow his coach to deploy him in that way. It may not say much about his approach to the game, but I think it does say something about his skills.

Kind of...yes he gets to play up like that because he is good but they are playing quarter, quarter, half. At least most the film. He is on an island/in man. Even the play we he lines up off he is in man. Has the first man out of the back field which sets him up for the great break.
This guy is a stud athlete. Would love to see him in an ND uni
