Teixeira's Out Till Spring

Teixeira's Out Till Spring

The bruised shin he suffered from a foul tip a month ago was finally diagnosed after several medical evaluations as a broken leg. Recovery is expected to be 3 months so he should be ready for Spring Ball.

The ball are flying out of Yankee Stadium tonight, 5 Hrs, but only one was hit by a Yankee. Severino got rocked for 3 multi-run homers and only pitched 2.1.

Jays lead 11-5 in the 8th.

Before the season I didn't think they'd even sniff the playoffs. Can't believe they made it.

NY lost today a sweep by Baltimore. NY lost of 6 of last 7 and still ended up with home field advantage for the playoff game.

Tanaka will pitch for NY.

I like Severino the most on the staff. i think he has the "balls" to pitch in big spots. But, I would go with the proven commodity and the supposed Ace of my staff in a one game playoff. Thus, Tanaka would be my choice.

Boom I'm correct again.

All Keuchel!

Congrats Stros.

Strange season. Old men and kids and a string of key injuries. Cashman passed on the guns in the off season and again in the mid-season.

I'd vote Girardi Manager of the Year and the Jays GM for GM of the Year.

Yankees eliminated: October return, but questions linger for 2016 - CBSSports.com

Axis a sees another season like 2115 , 85-88 wins and a Wild Card battle IF ARod and Beltran repeat their '15 seasons, IF Severino, and Evoladi continue to develop, if Gregorious and Refsnyder continue to develop, AND if Ellsbury, Headley, and a couple of others aren't such underachievers.

MVP ARod

LVP Ellsbury

Wild predication NY passes on Big Free Agents (NY locked into big contracts through '16) but trade nova or Pineda for a key player.

Lots of "ifs" in that statement. Yankees forgot to show up last night. They need an Ace first and foremost.

Yanks better than we thought but not good enough; so what's next? - CBSSports.com

Jon Heyman October 7, '15

1. Add that big starter - Price, Griencke, Ceuto

2. Blend in move youth - Gregorious and Severino are keepers. Refsnyder may be. Defense is the question. Bird hits long balls but Teixeira had a no trade contract plus until he proves he's healthy who would trade for him. Heyman like Aaron Judge but one of Elsbury, Gardner, or Beltran has to move on. Els and Gardner hit the ball early in the season then talked off. Beltran was the opposite getting hot down the stretch.

3. Bulk up the bullpen - considered a strength NY was 17th and had 3.70 ERA. Bettances, Miller, Wilson and inconsistent others guys.

4. Solve 2nd base. Drew's not the answer. Ryf's defense. Ackley? Heyman drops Howie Kendrick's name.

Heyman mentioned Headley was a disappoint but didn't include 3B as an area to resolve. ARod may be back as DH next year but he,s not going to playing 3B. I thought the they might move him to 1B to fill in for Tex. Apparently he can'tlay there either. And with Bird there,s no need. But 3rd remains a deficiency.

Houston put my Yanks out of their misery...yanks been playing horrible for over a month and 1/2.
they've been damn near unwatchable some games, and especially vs lefty pitching.
