I was thinking the same thing. I think what we've learned is that England's back line is really, really bad. John Terry should have come out of retirement, scandals and all.

Italy looked lackadaisical all day. No focus and no discipline from the attacking players. How do you get caught offsides again and again like that?

Credit to Costa Rica though for playing a great game defensively, but I am annoyed with this result. Now England and Costa Rica doesn't matter at all, and Italy will pack it in against Uruguay because they go through with a 0-0 draw. (Somebody check my work on that.) The last two games in this group will be boring as hell.

That's true. Even if Italy decides to pack it in because they go through with a draw, Cavani and Suarez are so good that they just need the smallest opening. We saw that against England.

Prandelli never should have put Cassano in the game. I really really think that was a huge mistake. They tried to move the ball through him up the field he simply isnt a possesion player to do that. I really think they should have kept Thiago Motta in.

Balotelli should have scored in the first. That was the decider.

You're fine dude. Costa Rice deserved the win. The Italian attackers should have watched the offsides better. After the first 3 offsides then need to fukin realize they need to adjust and not get trapped offside anymore. Granted, I specifically rememeber 3 calls where the balls went through to the wingers and they weren't off, those pissed me the hell off
