Well, I guess we can forget about locking up Lambert on June 2nd.

He announced he is doing multiple OVs now & deciding later.
He scheduled OVs to PSU, BC & OSU. Then said he is scheduling more.

It really depends on how they finish.

If they finish with Scott, Rushing, Thomas, KVA, Beasley, Lambert, Brix, Kedren Young, Carter Nelson, Jason Robinson…they will challenge top 5.

If they finish with none of Scott, Rushing, Beasley, Nelson, etc… they will finish outside top 10, 12-15 range.

If they land Lambert, Brix, KVA, Thomas, Young, Robinson, they will be around 10.

So they are going to be between 275-285, depending on which kids they get.

Do they actually have a shot with flipping Beasley? I've wanted this kid in the class for over a year and was bummed when he committed to TN.

I didn’t get to listen to the IB recruiting show from today yet, but just caught part of it and a few interesting things they just said:
They kind of danced around some names (like Davis Andrews, but said no Safties for sure right now), then said three interesting things.

1) “If ND decides they want 4 WRs then Jason Robinson for sure.” So it sounds like Robinson waves to commit, but ND isn’t taking it?

2) Ryan Roberts says Lambert because, “I’m more confident now because he isn’t visiting anywhere else except ND” and wants to commit this summer.

3) Driskell, at the end, “Loghan Thomas!” Then said definitely Thomas, & Roberts kind of gave the “oh yeah, technically he is uncommitted” face. So o think they both skipped Thomas because the question emphasized uncommitted & they must count Thomas as committed.

IIRC, he was on campus during one of the big recruiting days this spring, right? I guess I knew they were still in contact, but I've been trying not to get my hopes up. I'd love for this to work out in ND's favor.

I'm sharing the information where you got it from.. Like you're supposed to....
I’m not supposed to do anything. I don’t work here.
And you didn’t link my post (243) saying he is OVing other places, then provide the source, to be helpful, you bolded my post from yesterday where it said ND is confident because it’s his only OV, to be the opposite of helpful.

Question; uncommitted players you would bet your mortgage on being in the class.

Pass on Loghan Thomas for me, ESPN has him as a 3 star. We do not need any more 3 star recruits

He's a composite 4 star from Texas which makes him even higher he's playing against way way better guys compared to if he were from Ohio, Illinois, Indiana ect.

Sneed ends up at ND still.

Lea didn’t recruit him.
When Freeman became the DC he immediately started recruiting him because he was close friends with Sneed’s HS coach, BJ Payne.
So if BK was still HC, Freeman would still be DC, so Sneed would have been at ND regardless.
If BK doesn’t leave for LSU, he would have been looking for a new DC. Freeman was going to be a head coach somewhere - probably Duke - and Sneed is not at ND.

One thing to consider, is maybe this is telling the other 2 OT prospects how things work. Come in the same weekend, there is one spot. You better pop. Lambert can come later but he has a spot

In regards to Beasley, I thought ND wouldn’t allow players who are committed to other schools to visit. Is he an exception or is that notion wrong? Just want some clarity.

With unlimited OVs, they're changing their policy for prospects committed elsewhere. Not for June visits, but the Fall.

Did not know they were doing this. Seems logical IMO; just seemed like a hard stance last year

We appreciate when posters link the articles because it helps keep the site out of trouble and stops confusion among posters.

I think it makes sense. Give committed prospects a chance to change their mind over summer, but don’t give them the opportunity to neg or ruin a gameday atmosphere.

Justin Scott is becoming more and more suspect. The kids actions worry me. All we hear from the beat is he is a heavy Irish lean but his actions show that he doesn’t really care for ND. I said this after BG Weekend but the fact he didn’t show was a huge statement about his intentions.

I crossed Scott off my list months ago. It’s more important to look at a recruit's actions than his words or what insiders say; he's not coming to Notre Dame.

Not sure where he got this info from but he has multiple other OV's setup. OSU, BC, and PSU. While still considering others like Michigan, MSU, and Pitt.

I would take Justin Scott, but he is the Peyton Bowen of the 2024 class. ND sure is showing him they want him, but the big question is does he want ND?

In what way is he the Peyton Bowen of this class? Bowen was way more talented relative to Scott, who is largely raw. Also, Bowen committed to Notre Dame. Did I miss Scott's commitment? Only thing they have in common is neither ends up here.

I'd say so far, Scott is the anti-Bowen.

Bowen made his decision in January and continued to flirt with other schools the rest of the year.

Scott had the chance to make his decision and decided not to and continue looking before ultimately making a call and shutting it down.

Also, I'd say Scott is FAR less a necessity than Bowen was. ND really needed safeties. ND doesn't really need interior bodies, since they got Houstan and Vernon, plus it looks like one of Traore and Mukam might bump inside. Wafle is the 1T for this class as he's already near 300, and Bryce Young could potentially end up bumping to 3T when it's all said and done, since the dude is already 6'6 250 prior to his senior year. He's got the frame to pack on another good 30-40 pounds easy.

Lambert, Young, Mencke, and Prescod in for Friday-Sunday. Tae Tae is in for Sunday-Tuesday.

I see a scenario where ND secures 3+ commits by next Tuesday.

Question: 247 continues to list ND as having two 5 star commits for 2024. I only see Cam Williams as a 5 star on their ratings. Wondering why they list two 5 stars in our class?
