Who's Next? - 2024 Edition

Question: 247 continues to list ND as having two 5 star commits for 2024. I only see Cam Williams as a 5 star on their ratings. Wondering why they list two 5 stars in our class?

Pretty sure a few teams are glitched like that. Georgia has 3 but it lists 4. It lists 2 for FSU but they have 1. From what I can best tell the non-5 stars being counted are in the 33-50 range.

Think it's been pushed back. I'm guessing they'll push for him if Prescod continues to hold off.

He was never scheduled to visit.

Ryan Roberts interviewed him last week & asked him & Brix said he wasn’t scheduled to visit ND, they were still working on it but it never was a done deal.
Other sites reporting it jumped the gun.

Loy re-confirmed this morning that Lambert was the 2nd so guess we will see. ISD lists him as the 2nd too.

That’s good.
I think Jones & Knapp will be there too, too bad Brix couldn’t work it out.
I hope Rudolph is pushing for Prescod over Brix. I like Prescod, & he is local, but Brix is better in my opinion.

ISD has him slated to visit the 2nd, but Christian isn't overly confident on him or Brix.

It’s confusing because OSU 247 lists him as the 2nd also?

But if Loy confirmed this morning he is visiting ND the 2nd, then that has to be the most up to date?

And it’s even worse if they are passing on Brix than if he passes on them.

ND has two OL in the class.
The entire board left would be Lambert & Prescod if they were passing on Brix.

No way they aren’t letting him at least visit.
Prescod hasn’t committed yet & Lambert is trending away. Brix is the only other OL on the board. I don’t believe for one second they aren’t letting him visit. When he talked to Roberts he said he couldn’t make June 2nd, and was looking at other dates. That sounds like ND wanted him to visit?

They didn’t pass on him.
They tried to get him to OV this weekend.

I’m not sure where this is coming from? I’ve heard nothing of ND passing on him?
Last I heard they wanted Lambert & Brix, with Prescod being third. That they would take both Brix & Lambert.

He seems like a natural fit - high-academic Catholic school kid from Boston - and has a HS teammate coming here. We should be able to close on a guy like that.

How many programs have a No Official Visit for recruits that have verballed already??

Had this been in the reverse - an ND recruit taking an Official Visit that would be basically a decommitment.

Christian at ISD said he still thinks ND vs any individual school probably has the best shot atm. But if he had to choose ND vs the field, he’d take the field.

When Lambert scheduled only ND for an OV, and said he was committing this summer, people thought that meant ND was it.
But then a couple days later he announced OV’s to other schools, which ruined that thought.
Now, according to a few ND sites, ND doesn’t lead, it’s an open recruitment.

So you're saying a guy who hasn't visited, let alone committed, is an "open recruitment." Seems fair.
But also he is visiting Notre Dame soon and all the reasons we were favored to begin with are still in place, yes?
As always, we are better off when recruits actually look around. And then make the right choice.

I’m just saying that is why some are saying “trending away,” because they thought he was close to committing to ND, but now he’s not.

Every site has confirmed Lambert and I checked the OSU board, and Kurelic said Lambert is going to be at ND this weekend. So unless Driskell is outscooping the whole industry, he's wrong here.

Bummer about Williams.
