Barring a surprise, CJ Williams will be the next to commit in the 2022 class. The question is, will they get someone before him at the BBQ. I have a feeling they will. My money is on Drayk Bowen or Anthony Specca (2024).

My goodness, this recruiting machine is so far ahead of where they were a year ago.

It seems we have already had enough '23 four and five stars on campus to fill the class.

And Mickens seems to have hit his stride.

Rhett, Gray, Tease, Moussa, Yaites. Wow.

Not given hope but also not optimistic. Was listing BBQ visitors that had updates but didn’t bump each thread. In general CB and S have quite a bit of offers out and quite a bit got to campus in June and July.

I would guess that the Harris recruitment is similar to Xavier Nwankpa's in that I would think they're focused on filling the class without Harris in it. Meaning, whatever numbers they want, they'll fill the class with and take Harris if/whenever he wants in.

Not sure I buy the top 100 eval on Flanagan but it’ll look fantastic when it happens. A top 100 TE from De La Salle. West coast stays hot for ND. It’s getting a little trendy for the top talent in the PST.

Just a thought about 2023 class. It appears inevitable that the base defense will soon be a 3-3-5, or "dollar" in Marcus Freeman's terminology.

So I think the old formula of allocating scholarships on the defensive side will soon be obsolete and may even impact the finish to 2022.

Taken to its logical mathematical conclusion, we will be recrutiting 5 defensive backs for every 3 defensive linemen.

that will take some time to get used to.

Also, according to Freeman today in the PC he wants to go two deep at every position, meaning he wants 22 players playing in every game. With the depth we have, I’m all for this and if so it should be easier to recruit without worrying about the depth chart.

If and only if this happens on both sides of the ball is when we're finally competitive with the upper tier of college football
