Gas grill preference....Napoleon vs Weber for $700-$900 range? Heated debate in the neighborhood.....what is your preference? Note, we all have smokers, so this is a pure gas grill discussion only.

The gas grill Wiz posted above has treated me well. I've been using it three or four nights a week for the last three years, beat the hell out of it, and haven't had any issues.

Do you have it in crimson? So worth the extra few bucks.

Every year for Thanksgiving my wife insists we make that shit... I hate it but understand it I guess, we all have one or two low budget meals from our childhood that we just enjoy... Stove Top Stuffing is hers...

The new line of Genesis has some good quality upgrades, but I am not digging the aesthetics. Getting it in SS or having the enclosure will push the the grill well north of $1,100 or more, depending on how many burners you want. At that point, you can start looking into Blaze grills.

Yeah the Genesis II is ugly AF. I'm glad I got my Genesis last year before the new model came out. Paid for the Special Edition EP-330 with Stainless Steel grills, side burner, and sear station and kept it under $800.

No, it's black and chrome. I do like that color, though.

Jeebus dude... do you even stove top???

Haha. Yeah, sometimes when I mix it up with scrambled eggs. I've been bacheloring for the last eight or nine years, and I prep/cook grilled chicken a few times a week so I have lunch and dinner covered. I basically eat the same thing everyday - kefir for breakfast, grilled chicken with avocado/bell pepper/cucumber/onion/olive oil and balsamic salad for both lunch and dinner. I get crazy sometimes and make eggs or steak. I know that probably hurts your inner foodie soul, Camp.

The old lady has added a little variety into my diet and now I don't have abs and my ass is fat. Sad.

Well played. GII with the same configuration is ~50% more.

I've lived in a high rise and was forced to use gas over a smoker/charcoal. Not that it makes my refusal to use a stove top any less bizarre.

Get the pellet grill and have the best of both worlds.
My old gas grill is on the way out. It's starting to fall apart after years of abuse. I've been considering a pellet to replace it but I'm not sure where to even start. Any advise? I have looked at Treagers. Also, I'm hessitamt to spemd a shit load in one and my wife not like the product. She's not a big fan of smoked foods and I assume the pellet grills have a similar flavor.

My Weber Genesis E-330 remains my best home purchase since becoming an owner. Worth every last penny. Keep her clean and protected from the elements, she'll last decades.

Gas for hotdogs and hamburgers, charcoal for everything else.

I'd add carne asada and marinated chicken for tacos to the gas side of things... no reason to charchoal up for something that is so thin and cooks so quickly.

Everyone that I know that has bought Traeger says that it is the last grill they will ever buy. They have dealers all over the place:

Dealer Locator & Store Finder | Traeger Wood Fired Grills

I don't know if you can do a "try it for 30 days" or not, with them. But if you can, what do you have to lose? My old boss used to cook just about everything in his Traeger, and he never cooked anything bad.

Like golf it's not the clubs it's the swing. Grilling is not the grill....

Looking for a new gas grill. Something reasonably priced. Anyone have any thoughts on a gas / charcoal split grill

You don't want a "reasonably priced" grill. Get a $300 grill and your starter will go after one season, the grates will be leaving flecks of iron in your food, and you'll need to replace the whole thing in three years. Get an $800 grill and you'll have it for a decade.

Here's my thing. We will be moving in a few years at most. I'd like something that can get me until then. At that point I'd like to build an outdoor cooking area with something other than a mobile grill
