He definitely could have been a silent, fits the bill for TP's claim "better than Nelson" (Nelson + someone else) and is a four, could be 5 star. Unfourtanetely I think giving Carlisle number 3 was a signal that its official we are not getting Nelson. I mean that was a huge pitch of ours to get him.

P.S. Joe Davidson's most recent blog on Shaq Thompson makes me want him real bad, even if we are already stacked at safety. He sounds like a great kid who has the makings of a legendary safety.

I'm more inclined to think Rios's comment is additional ammo for the Payton rumor. Would guess they know each other and Rios has been in contact trying to recruit Payton to UCLA.
