imo, we're waiting on how things work over the next week. doesn't ekanem visit the last weekend before signing day? that leads me to believe if we're not at our max and we don't feel good about some of the other guys on our board than we'll have a better feel if we land him

ISD mentioned it. I don't buy it as he's still on track to visit. I think it's a bunch of hearsay since he hasn't gotten visits, etc. from coaches recently. If he doesn't commit to VT this weekend and makes his visit it will mean the coaches are still recruiting him and we should land him.

I take it he's visiting V-tech this week? 1st time or has he been there before?

Personally, I hope ND gets him. Can never have too many LBs since we play 4 at a time and he's rated pretty highly.

I'm not trying to be a debbie downer here fellas, but i just dont seem to think we'll land much of anything else...Standifers lookin pretty well for us so far, but other than that idk..i think poole stays, Mr. Armstead has faded on us since his brothers transfer issues..Glad we got gunner, that can seriously help with Neal, that looks semi promising since his dad sees the light on what ND can offer, etc.. but i just hope urbie doesn't pull that one off as well.. He has ALOT of momentum..I hope to god I am wrong.. Someone please tell me I am an idiot and we're going to finish strong!

Urban only has one scholarship open before he has to start pulling offers or forcing kids out.

Darby (comes back) or Wright (ND is the place to realize your potential and grow as a person)

I'm being very hopeful on Darby that BK can remind him that he a major factor in this class and of the reasons why he loved and wanted to be at ND in the first place. I just really believe in this staff come the 11th hour. He's to hoping

^This, especially after losing Perkins to grades, Darby to decommit (Please come back), Decker to Liar Meyer at pOSU, then pulling the Great Kiel Coup from the clutches of the SEC.

This class is very good right now. I know there are some other kids out there right now we could use to get but at the end of the day we really can't complain a whole lot.

There is no reason at all to complain. Notre Dame has three 5 star recruits already enrolled. We have Tee in and still have a shot at Standifer and Darby, so our biggest concern is being addressed. We have Deontay, Ferguson and Brown at WR so our second biggest concern is being addressed. And the staff is out recruiting and I think we have some pretty good finishers on this staff. No reason to panic or complain at all.

I believe that Ekanem's primary ND contact coach was Charlie Molnar. That could be the source of any rumors about slow-down of coaching visits.

On the other hand, VT seems to be firing their big guns. Both Bud Foster and Frank Beamer are allegedly seeing him [or just have seen him in-home]. That might be a bit much to overcome if Coach Kelly and Diaco haven't trumped that somehow. In ND's favor seems to be Ekanem's favoring of the ND business school.

No reason to panic or complain at all.

Oh, I'm sure some people will find a reason to panic and complain.

The only thing I think we must do is land one more corner. Would even take two. Ekanem would be nice. Neal and/or Armstead would be more than nice. But we've filled some holes, picked up some top-flight talent, and if you look at avg. star ratings, I think we're in the top 8 or so on all the team rankings. Really, a pretty good job.

I'm loving this class, just like last seasons. Still can't believe we pulled in Kiel. Tee, Shumate, and monsters like Jones, Day, and Stanley have me super pumped. Definitely one big nasty OL and DL.

FWIW Yuri also mentioned on Twitter yesterday that he has no control over his FB right now. Him having Cal as an employer, is completely unrelated as he definitely put that up a while ago, but just through Id mention it. Still hope he ends up at ND. Kids going to be a baller.
