Just under a year after declaring that he would leave USC, before flipping back to staying with the Trojans months later, wide receiver Brice Butler decided he will, once and for all, leave for another school.

Lane Kiffin confirmed today that Butler, a redshirt junior, was “looking around ” but no transfer destinations were mentioned. Barring a hardship waiver from the NCAA, Butler would have to transfer down a level — either Division 1-A or D-II — in order to play right away.

Butler had 12 receptions for 150 yards this season.

Love that the photo in that OC Register story is of him throwing his hands up as the ball falls to the turf. I guess only 12 catches doesn't make tons of opportunities. Does look like the ref was throwing an interference flag, though.
But, yeah, if we're tossing veterans overboard, I'd rather it be for a difference-maker. Butler doesn't scream that.
