Who is likely next?

After the Tee Shepard commitment today, who do you likely see follow next? Also, who do you want the most?

Likely? A lineman around the spring game. I'll go with a Taylor Decker or Dan Voltz.

Who do I want the most? Dream list would include Dorial Green Becham, but if we are going to try and keep things realistic... I'll go with a Ronald Darby/Keith Marshall combo for a weekend. We stand pretty good with both of them and they seem to want to play together.

I agree with IM3 that one of the several OL's will probably be next, but I am going with Nick Baratti.

If Gunner had taken the visit last week or this week, I'd have him as my choice, but I'm going with Decker instead. As OMM says, Build from the middle and Build from the front (or was it the other way around). Either way, give me the bigs.

I will say that I think our next commit will not come until the spring game weekend. That is unless Gunner Kiel decides to follow Tee and become another elite talent to wrap it up early.

After junior day updates, you have to look at guys like Baratti, Harrell, or Decker as soon to be Irish verbals. Another one to keep in mind is Malachi Jones (TJ's brother).

Another point on my opinion on future Irish hopefulls, I'd like to see ND lock up on elite player at every level on both sides of the ball. I don't think that's out of the question this year with all the early interest. Such as something along these lines.

Defensive Secondary- Tee Shepard
Defensive LB Core- Noah Spence?
Defensive Line- Tommy Schutt

Offensive Backfield- Gunner Kiel/Keith Marshall
Offensive Line- Andrus Peat or Dan Voltz

And so on.... I just think that the staff accomplshed what it was looking for last year with filling in needs. I think they can be slightly more picky about who they take this year. Im not saying we will sign 10 5* players and 10 4* players but I do see the potential for a serious upgrade in talent across the board.

Everybody WANTS superman, so I'll go along with those kind of suggestions, but we'll probably get a slightly scared DB next [because of Shepherd], and a couple of O-linemen. Being stubborn, I want Tommy Schutt and maybe the big NT from out east whose name is slipping my old mind.....Jarron Jones, I think. [some are saying DE but he is the sort of talent Kelly/Diaco like=versatile.]

That happened the year Raeshon Mcneil and Darrin Walls signed. They were harped upon their entire careers by posters on this site. Who is to say that wouldn't happen again.

I think the next commit will be Nick Baratti around the spring game. He may be the first to jump that weekend but I think we'll see more than one in that week. Possibly Harrell as well.
