Who do you want to replace Brian Kelly?

If I was an LSU fan I'd want them to go after Brian Kelly on the condition that Aranda be retained. With the talent he could land for his offense that would be one hell of a combo.

Kelly has had plenty of talent on offense. His crappy scheme, especially in the run game, would get blown up by the SEC. Screw Kelly and his finesse offense.

Hilary Clinton is the Democratic Party's washed up hag.

Brian Kelly is our washed up hag.

We are the Democratic Party.

Common Man and Company on The Fan in Columbus just spent a segment covering BK to LSU... is this a thing?

Yep, and at LSU he could have those same types of athletes and arguably better as well as JUCO transfers focused on football 100%. It would be like last years offense but better. I think it would be similar to what Bama is doing with Kiffin as the OC.

1) I don't think is happening. At all.

2) This would hurt ND pride quite a bit if it did happen. I believe no ND coach has ever voluntarily left ND for another job, ever. So yeah, that would sting.

3) But it would also mean that we didn't have to pay for a buy-out and the full financial force of ND would be behind getting a new coach.

Conclusion:

LSU isn't going to cover the contractual buyout for BK and pay him a competitive salary on top of that. The only way this happens is if it's a mutual termination: he can't quit, he's fired!

EDIT: And for those who want BK gone this is the best possible outcome because it lifts them from any financial obligations which might hinder the total pool of available coaching salaries.

Ironic that you have twice today made sure to let everyone know that you are tired of me without making a single substantive point. By the way, you chose to enter two specific threads dedicated to questioning BK. Live with it.

Keep beating that drum.

My point is that your song has grown tired. You're repeating the same sorry thought over and over again. You have literally added NOTHING new to the conversation. We get it - you want BK gone. Do you really need to say it in EVERY SINGLE THREAD on this board?

Yes I did enter multiple BK threads. Funny how you're the only one who's coming across as obnoxious on a site that is riddled with otherwise obnoxious posters. Quite the feather in your cap.

Hahahahahahahaahahahahah. Literally have no idea what you are talking about. This is the saltiest and saddest post I have ever seen on this site.

Name 5 threads where I post "obnoxiously" about BK. Go ahead, I'll wait for the posts you find in "every single thread." I post primarily in BK Revisited and this thread. That's pretty much it. Check yo self.

Whether you want to admit it or not, you are angry about the season and the football team and are trying to take it out on me. Direct your anger at the right person.

When kmoose has turned on the coach but you haven't, you know you are on the wrong side of the aisle.

As I follow-up, I literally STARTED the conversation. Just absurd that you accuse me of adding nothing. I actually chuckled in my office just now at how salty you are.

If it werent for BK's 6 years remaining, I am quite confident Jack would have fired him this year.

As for LSU, I wonder if BK would take Malik with him if he went to LSU?

Grain of salt...buddy of mine is a huge fsu fan. I asked him last night about jimbo to lsu rumors. He replied with.."no way jimbo is leaving for lsu. Money is all lsu could offer him. Everything else jimbo has better at fsu. Jimbo has hand picked new practice facility, new lockers, new scoreboard. Plus jimbo's kids doctors that they love are in tally. Doesn't even think jimbo will interview despite what jimmy sexton (jimbo's agent) spins" also added that names he's hearing on fsu boards for lsu job is brian Kelly and Kiffen.

Again grain of salt

Exactly. I'm shocked that anyone would think it wouldn't be an issue for ND.

I get that it is a hurdle that the ND brass would have to feel comfortable with but it's not like we're campaigning to bring in Art Briles or Petrino.......It was just NCAA violations for not being completely honest with the NCAA pertaining to players receiving benefits.

Diaco was inherited and had been established at ND.

lets use Charlie Strong as an example for fun. Why would Charlie Strong want to work for Brian Kelly?

I don't see it as working for so much as working with considering the level of anonymity the last two DC's had. The reason would be if Strong came to ND and fielded a lights out d that would potentially propel him back towards an upper tier coaching job ala Muschamp.

Anyhow, Petrino to LSU makes a lot of sense as well. Maybe Strong ends up back at Louisville.
