I miss the old Tiger Woods games when you took the money from championships and used it to upgrade your clubs, your look, your stats, etc. Last one I played you get paid, but you didn't really get to do anything with the money.
EA talking a big game about focusing primarily on dynasty mode… they’re gonna catch some significant blowback if there is any thinly-veiled push towards Ultimate Team/micro transactions instead.
Madden this year still has bugs from Franchise mode that they haven't fixed because they're too busy pushing Ultimate Team crap. They haven't touched bugs reported back in August:I want the dynasty to not break after 3-4 seasons like every other EA game
Uniform packs,… stadium skin packs,… neutral site game packs,… fight song packs,… nil money packsThere’s no way they go all in on dynasty when it can’t be easily monetized and also it’d been completely ignored in madden for a decade

Don't forget the bullshit where they cap some of your school's recruiting pitches, like Campus Lifestyle or Academic Prestige (Which basically can't be changed) and try and force you to buy upgrades to those school stats to make your recruiting better.Uniform packs,… stadium skin packs,… neutral site game packs,… fight song packs,… nil money packs

Just saying they’ll find a way to make money off itLooks at the profits EA makes off FUT alone. The stuff you are suggesting are basically one off purchases no way they’d be as profitable for EA as ultimate team packs

yeah but it would be limited compared to the money EA makes off UT is my pointJust saying they’ll find a way to make money off it

If any players start the year on the IR you can't remove them once they're healthy...the only way is to cut them when healthy and resign them. Only seems to happen first year at least.
If a player is selected as one of the 6 "Focus" players to get extra xp during practice, and that player gets hurt for multiple weeks, that Focus slot gets completely locked until the player becomes healthy again. The actually box reads as if your coach hasn't unlocked the 6th box in his xp tree, even if he's had it for years.
If there's any players that you were still at "Maybe" with during Resigning Negotiations prior to the end of the regular season, and you haven't convinced them as either a hard yes or no, then you lose one possible negotiation spot during Free Agency. For example, the first week of Free Agency you can only talk to 5 players. If you had 2 guys you were still in the middle of Negotiating with then you only have 3 Free Agency spots when the Off Season starts....and worse yet, you are permanently down 2 spots every year for as long as that Franchise is operating. This particularly hurts during that first week of Free Agency because the best talents typically get picked up during that time. I only have 1 spot open right during in our current Franchise
There's others, but those are just the ones I've personally run into over the last 5 months and according to the EA forums they've been around since release.
Yeah roster building was always rough. Nothing like being on defense and seeing the offense has 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, and 3 TEs on the field...I thought they had a new team on the case, rather than recycling the Madden group? If so, there may be some hope that dynasty operates properly.
Of course, it’s been 10 years since NCAA14, so there are bound to be some bugs and glitches and wonky mechanics based on the new on-field influences they’ll be trying to replicate, but ‘14 was generally free of catastrophic bugs.
I made it the entire 62 years in the dynasty once without any mechanical issues. The biggest problem was that CPU roster building was terrible and lacked functional AI for filling rosters and making position changes, so every roster is a tiered, vanilla version of every other roster…. That, and Navy turning into a powerhouse every three years because of the Indy recruiting prestige if you don’t put them in the AAC lol.
Another reason for optimism is that they stole like half of the CFB Revamped group… those dudes have been keeping NCAA14 relevant for three years now, and they’ve done it by jailbreaking programs with limited customization. Impressive, and hopefully EA gives them freedom with actual tools at their disposal now.
I know I’m just saying what I think they’ll do,… which is look at your point and say ‘challenge accepted’ year to year training and recruiting perks alone could make tons. It’ll never match fut tho,… the audiences are massively differentyeah but it would be limited compared to the money EA makes off UT is my point
The cpu roster building was the worst aspect of it all,… I’d spend time going in and fixing ratings of the power houses,… a random UGA roster would have like seven QBs…. Six RBs… three WRs… thee CBs and an o line of a bad MAC teamYeah roster building was always rough. Navy would become a power, random G5 team like Toledo in the Rose Bowl, and Alabama firing Saban after a 4-8 year with a 50th ranked recruiting class.
I preferred to reverse power houses. I tanked team's rosters like OSU and Bama to watch what teams rise from the ashes. Nebraska, Tennessee, and quite a few surprises as new teams would take over the Top 25. Restructured a few conferences. Added some flavor. The cpu roster building was the worst aspect of it all,… I’d spend time going in and fixing ratings of the power houses,… a random UGA roster would have like seven QBs…. See at least you were doing that on your own, I can respect that. The game doing it really just made things so bad. Especially with the roster management.I preferred to reverse power houses. I just hope we get a full 85 man roster now.
Kind Sir I’ll have you know that Steak and BJ Thursdays often involve video games with the latter,…I stopped playing video games when I was 18. Men playing children’s games all day is why the population is decreasing. No sex
Dammit, ACamp, first it was the Steak and BJ Thursdays...now you're just rubbing it in. I can't get the Mrs. to play anything anymore unless it's Mario Party because the computer feels sorry and lets her win!Kind Sir I’ll have you know that Steak and BJ Thursdays often involve video games with the latter,…
Oh,… for clarity,… the wife isn’t playingDammit, ACamp, first it was the Steak and BJ Thursdays...now you're just rubbing it in. I can't get the Mrs. to play anything anymore unless it's Mario Party because the computer feels sorry and lets her win!
This ain't 1985 anymore, brah. Dark Souls ain't no kiddie game, it'll test your testicular fortitude and bring you to the edge of insanity. Also...games have boobs now. Still getting laid weekly.I stopped playing video games when I was 18. Men playing children’s games all day is why the population is decreasing. No sex
I will be buying a console for the first time in my life. My dad bought the 360 for me in high school.I’m going in the CFB game next year with low expectations,… EA has been so bad at this for years now,… it’ll have massive buy packs, little progression and replay ability in dynasty mode,… etc
I’ll still pre order it bc I’m a dork
