This is the first thing the Switch has put out that really grabbed me... I'm buying it later today and I'm pretty geeked out by it. Not even going to lie.

Bethesda current teasing something Fallout related on their twitter and twitch that will likely be announced today. It could turn out to be a port to Switch or a remaster but the amount of hype they are currently building suggests something different...

Interesting, they are putting out another Fallout before Elder Scrolls? From the trailer it's like one of the vaults that have worked well all these many years and it's now opening or some such?? I'd be interested for sure.

I'm assuming you nerds will be getting Fallout 76

Nope. It's apparently a multiplayer base builder along the lines of Rust and Conan Exiles. Unfortunately not my cup of tea.

Because I've seen some people misinterpreting this tweet, I did NOT say this is an MMO. I just know it's not strictly single-player. Bethesda, y u no Elder Scrolls VI?

According to Todd Howard as of a year ago they hadn't even started development on ESVI yet. They want to have a new big IP (which I suspect will get announced at E3 along with whatever Fallout 76 is) in the vein of FO and ES.

Red Dead Redemption II must deconstruct the American Frontier mythology

This might be the hottest take I've ever read on anything ever.

"We were cowboys, so we don’t need the government to take care of us. We were cowboys, so we don’t need to pay for each other’s health care. We were cowboys, so we don’t need the government to stop us from discriminating against LGBTQ+ people. We were cowboys, so we don’t need unions to give us power in negotiations with our employers."

As with all things my excitement/disappointment will lie in the execution.

I might need one more game to convince myself to buy an Xbone or PS4, other than Red Dead 2

Just exclusives or can we run the whole catalogue? PS4 has Bloodborne, God of War, and anything by Naughty Dog. Those are all A+ games, particularly Bloodborne if you like Lovecraft.

I really liked Uncharted...I'll decide when Red Dead gets closer to being released.

Yep. I was very wary of it when it was announced but they definitely hit a homerun.

They kept all the best parts of the series (cinematic feel, epic scale, murdering a pagan pantheon) but the addition of Atreus and the father/son dynamic gives the story a level of depth it never had before. Borrowing some mechanics and gear progression from Dark Souls was a big improvement, too.

I haven't really played anything new, but I've been going through my back log.

Finish AC Origins, and have almost have 100%. Great game. The best world they have ever made by far. The story was satisfactory for me. But the combat exploration was awesome.

I played about 10 hours of that Mad Max game from a few years ago. It was the free PS Plus game a few months ago. The car combat is the best part.

I went back to Mario Odyssey to play some more of the end game content, and have been loving it. I forgot how much I like that game when I played it back in January.

I'm about halfway thru Golf Story on switch. Delightful fun little game. I play it in about 30 min intervals whenever I am waiting around and dont have the time to get into something more demanding.

I loaded up Battlefield 1 again, because I remembered I had not even played any of the new maps that came out this year yet. Such an awesome shooter. Its challenging as hell, but once you get back into it I have so much fun playing.

That pretty much all Ive been playing the last 2 months. XCOM 2 is the PS PLus game for June. I ve never played one of these type of games before so Im alittle curious to try it out.

Any one have any E3 predictions? Or rather, whats on your E3 want list.

I never really liked the other games and hated the fight engine of, "Okay, hit the X button... NOW!!... okay enjoy the long cut scene." I always kind of held it against GoW for that style of gaming bleeding into and ultimately ruining Castlevania. With that said I saw about ten minutes of game play at a buddy's house this weekend and it looked pretty much like Witcher. He raved about it.

MLB The Show and Bloodstained have been getting me by just fine as I simply don't have the gaming time I used to. I am looking forward to Red Dead, the next Bloodstained and Madden this year... thinking about getting NHL but time is a huge barrier when it comes to playing multiple games now.

That's basically gone now. No more "interactive cut scenes" where you have to mash the right button at the right time to continue brutalizing the Hydra or something. The combat mechanics are much closer to the Witcher 3/ Dark Souls now with blocking, dodging, parrying, heavy and light attacks, etc. Kratos doesn't have a stamina bar, but the rate of fire from Atreus' bow serves a similar purpose.
