Nah. What I don't get is the people who I see walk right past a cart in the lot. What's the extra 10 seconds?

This isn't a complaint, but the carts reminded me of an incident I witnessed about 15 years ago. We're headed to Columbus, Ohio on a Friday night. We stop at a Meijer just off the highway. The parking lot is pretty empty, but right after entering the parking lot, I notice a guy in a pickup truck screaming across the lot at an angle, so I stop and watch. The dud smokes a cart corral with his pickup and pushes it about three rows over before he can stop. We laughed our asses off the rest of the way to Cbus.

If you really think about it, it's kind of ridiculous for such a stigma to be placed on washing your hands after a piss in relation to everything else in life.

Your hands are dirty enough on their own throughout the day from contacting everyday surfaces, so why do we shake hands and pat each other on the back when we haven't washed our hands recently?

If you get up, shower, put on some fresh underwear, and then keep your junk zipped up, your manhood is much more clean than anything you interact with at work.

We are far more likely to need some soap or hand sanitizer after using the office coffee pot than we are handling our own junk (unless you splash everywhere. Grow up, you inexperienced bathroom user).

In fact, I would go so far as to argue that you should wash your hands BEFORE subjecting your junk to the everyday germs that your hands pick up.

I believe in Japan they wash their hands first, then unzip.

Or the ones that don't have money, but keep trying a multiple transactions in hopes money will magically appear.

I always feel awkward and kind of sorry when people are struggling with the ATM, because IDK if they just don't know how to use it, or if they just found out they don't have any money and look confused about it.

People who coach kids sports for the entire social manipulation of their kid and their kid's best friends. Outside of one or two kids at the top and bottom of any team I have seen, 80%+ of the kids are at the same skill level. The mental gymnastics that take place to validate 95/5 split of playing time is pretty impressive - especially on a sub-500 team in a less than competitive league.
I coached my kids sports team a few weeks ago as a fill in. Worst experience of my life. Not because of the other kids or parents, but because of my child and the other coach. My kid happens to be considerably above the level of 95% of the other kids. It's nothing to do with skill, it's just very young kids and he's aggressive. If you think your kid doesn't listen when instructed to do something, try coaching them. He magically turned into the worst listening kid on the team. Then there was the other coach. After my kid scored and we were up by a few I put him and the other aggressive kid on defense. I figured it would allow the other team to get more into it because they had started to lose interest. He asked if we were using goalies (in this league being they're so young we don't). I told him no but that I keep 2 kids back for defense because they all tend to run around the ball. He decided that he wanted to play all of his kids forward and let them have run of the field. I agreed to do the de. Within minutes our team scored 5 more goals and his none. He wasn't happy. At one point during a break in the action he huddled his kids together and had one of them pick the ball up, set it in front of the goal, kick it in, then cellebrate. He looks at me and simply says 'ha, that's our trick play' and proceeds to walk away. I kept my cool and didn't say a thing, just smiled.

I don't think he meant that kind of ATM.

Last night - our coach insists on the catcher getting a pinch runner with two outs on the board - one of the teams faster players and it is technically in the rules. Opposing coach does a SMH and instructs whoever got out last grab a helmet - in an innocent random sounding way. Last out was their (by far) best player who proceeded to steal around the bases and score on a pass ball in three pitches. Opposing coach smirking the whole way. Batter then grounds out for final out - sometimes karma is awesome.

What really grinds my gears is that it's been 1 year and 8 months since my wedding, and my photographer has still not returned our edited/finalized photographs, nor our wedding book that was purchased as part of the service.

Even worse: It's a family friend, and now I have to ask for some of my money back.

Why do you have to ask for money back? Was there a written agreement to have them completed by a certain date or they would have to pay damages?

Since it's been over a year, we've asked them to simply give us the copies of the photos that they have edited via flash drive, and that we no longer desire the printed book or other services that were promised.

There was no specified time-frame on the paperwork, but I feel sufficiently taken advantage of (I know, it's my fault for not including a time-frame). I think that since they're a family friend, they've felt comfortable in pushing our work behind other weddings and photo shoots that they are constantly advertising on Facebook.

My suspicion is that none of the photos have even been edited yet, which is the reason for cutting it off now and taking what we can get, and asking for a portion of money back dependent on what they give to us that IS done.

Classic example of why you don't hire family or friends to do a job. Initially it sounds great and costs less, but then..........

That seems fair to me. You're not getting the items you agreed to purchase.

That sucks that they didn't even edit them.

Oh I know that now, and my wife even tried warning me. I thought "there's no way this can go wrong... they know how important my WEDDING is, right?"

I even had an acquaintance from college reach out and inquire as to who were using as a photographer. He was proactive, prepared, and does great work. He reached out after he saw my engagement on Facebook. Would've probably been a great choice, judging by his motivation and professionalism.

But I went with the family friend, out of a sense of obligation. Whoops.

That seems fair to me. You're not getting the items you agreed to purchase.

We'll see. I hope they blow me away, and everything is edited. But the only proof of editing is watermarked preview copies on Facebook that were posted the week after our wedding. Since then, nothing.

Have we covered the people at grocery stores who completely ruin the idea of the self checkout lanes?

The people who use it for 20+ items and take 5 minutes just to bag everything? I like using self checkout lanes because I get maybe 10 things and it always fits into 1 bag.

I typically do the grocery shopping in the house. I bring my side kick, my youngest and he's 6, with me. We do the no-limit self checkout. We have it down pretty good. He scans and I bag. A lot of people will walk up behind us in the line, see him helping, and choose a different one. I always laugh because more often then not we are done long before the people around us.

Is self checkout understood to be "15 items or less"?

Because if so, I am totally the asshole that uses self checkout with a cart loaded to the top.

Depends on the store. I do full checkout in those lines too. They're not supposed to be "express," they're supposed to cut labor.

Every single grocery store I've been to with self checkout has a sign above them saying that it's for 15/20 items or less

My store doesn't say "Express Self Checkout," so I assume I'm within my rights to take 30 minutes scanning and bagging items to my own satisfaction.

The Meijer by me has the 15+- self checkouts a well as about five of the the unlimited checkout with a longer belt. I hate it when one person uses the unlimited checkout instead of using a checkout clerk. It takes them forever to scan, clear the backup, scan some more, bag a little, clear the backup, scan again, etc.

Negative. I'm the one who's mentioned several times there is absolutely no excuse not to return your cart to the coral. Zero. I don't give a fuck if it's the blizzard of 1979 (or whenever that bad blizzard was before my time).

Meijer by me has 3 express self checkouts with 12 items or less and 2 unlimited self checkout at each end of the store.

Those people are dicks. I've been one of those dicks before, but not recent or often.

People who have to listen to music or watch video clips on their cell phones at a bar without earphones. What makes you think the rest of us want to hear your stuff? Of course, whenever I say something about it to those people they act like I'm the inconsiderate jack-off in the equation.

This dynamic with some ND fans:

-"tOSU just offered,... we're doomed!"
-"We just scheduled Georgia! YES! I only want to play good teams. Go Irish!"
-"Why can't we win 10 games a year and get consistent stud players like tOSU?? I just don't get it!!"

My father changes his WiFi password something like once a month and he uses a 26 digit string of numbers. Pops, nobody is stealing the damn WiFi.

What are the odds that whoever showed up for the install was messing with him and convinced him that it was completely necessary?
