Haven't seen Oppenheimer yet, but came a cross several documentaries about him on YouTube. If you're a fan of WWII, it's worth learning about his personal life.



Two things that struck me.
1. While the U.S. was in a race with Germany during WWII to develop the atom bomb, it was later found that Germany was no where close to developing one.
2. Russia was able to infiltrate the Manhattan Project with a spy who was vouched for by England. Evidently this spy had infiltrated and worked for England before being recommended by England. If he wasn't successful, Russia is years away from developing their bomb and the Cold War may not have materialized like it did.

The Netflix Johnny Manziel documentary was pretty good. I'd completely forgotten that his TAMU OC was Kliff Kingsbury and KK rode Johnny Football to the Texas Tech job.

TAMU made a lot of money off of all that hype. Complete stadium and facility makeover.

Just finished "Quarterback" on Netflix. It was pretty good. Would have rather had someone else than Mariota on the show.

Well I was wrong. With Peter Berg directing I thought this would be a home run but it fell short. Alex Gibney is one of the best documentarians out there but he should stick to that. His doc “Crime of the Century” does a much better job telling the story of both OxyContinue & Fentanyl.

Started watching Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. It's not bad, but it's not great. Cast isn't at the same level as Suits. Probably should have picked something besides a series about an attorney after watching Suits. lol

The first season of Winning Time was excellent. The first two episodes of season 2 have been awful. Not even close to giving up on the series, but need a major pick up in the next couple episodes.

Jack Ryan, Szn 4. This has some serious potential. I thought a letdown was inevitable after how good szn 3 was, but so far, I definitely feel the suspense building through 2 eps.

Started watching Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. It's not bad, but it's not great. Cast isn't at the same level as Suits. Probably should have picked something besides a series about an attorney after watching Suits. lol

Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix is a good combo of entertaining but also don't need to be paying attention the entire time to follow

Love the original Perry Mason. Are they using the old scripts or are they just using the character names?

I'm up to S2 E2 and IMO it's picked up in the last 3 or 4 episodes.

S2 has some good twists. Elliott Gould getting more screentime was a good choice on their part.

I've enjoyed the first two episodes. Their DL is going to cause people problems. They need to get their OL together.

Swamp Kings ultimately feels like Urban Meyer using Netflix to rehab his image so he can come back and coach college again.

Disappointed in all of these episodes of Untold.

Finished Suits Friday night. S8 was a tad under the first 7 seasons, but I thought S9 bounced back to close it out. My only complaint was the over use of the phrases "(fill in name), what are you doing here?" and "(fill in name), What can I do for you?" Something like "Louis, what's up? or "Mike, Didn't expect you to be here".

Suits ranks up there with the best of them and probably would have had more recognition if it wasn't originally aired on USA.

Now I'm getting caught up on S5 of Yellowstone.

Finished episode 4 of season 8 last night. Have not been a fan of this season. Hopefully season 9 is better. Probably won't be watching at the same binge level we have been.

I’ve watched the 1st two episodes. Talk about sugarcoating. As soon as I saw Finebaum I knew what was coming. They put that together like only 20 year olds are watching this & that the SEC has dominated CFB since its inception. No mention that Bama was on the ropes w/ Mike Shula and NCAA sanctions. Saban was in the NFL. Miles hadn’t backed into his NC yet. The Arkansas team that won the West w/ McFadden/Jones/Hillis & got boat-raced by SCum 50-14.

Agreed on your last statement. The Victor Conte/BALCO episode simply re-hashed what we already knew. Johnny Football was horrible. Should I even watch the Jake Paul episode?

Urban Meyer not knowing who Tim Tebow was seemed like total bullcrap to me.

Tebow may have never been officially committed to Shula but IIRC Bama was the leader in the clubhouse until late. Bama was a shit-show in the years between Stallings & Saban.

One is back for the final season and a new villain makes the final season pretty good.
