Have two mixed packs,… Odell Hope pack and Stones ipa mix,… I’m a huge Stone guy but I’ll be honest. The Odell IPAs have so much more depth to them. Much better

Never tried Stones that I can recall, but the Odell is solid. It's been a few years since I last drank any, but I remember liking it.

Turns out that Stone Enjoy By 10/31 is good stuff

It is. Better than last years for sure. However the enjoy by series seems to be more of same recipe type stuff. Seems like they used to give ya a Lil something new each time or at least rotate.

I posted in travel thread but I will be headed to Nashville this weekend. I know there some good distilleries to visit but I wanted to be selective. Not trying to make this parent alone time into a bourbon only experience.

I have read before that some distilleries have some of their better selections for on site purchase only.

Anything I need to make sure I grab a bottle of while I'm down there?

Unrelated to your question, but Bell's has been sold to Kirin. Disappointing, not a fan of the direction New Belgium took once Kirin bought them.

Go to Belle Meade Plantation do the bourbon tasting experience. My wife and I loved it.

Yeah I agree with this. New Belgium just doesn't do it for me... Hope Bell's doesn't head down that road as well...

NB used to be great, Whiskeyjack turned me on to their Dubbel and Tripel. Great entry level stuff and always had something weird if you were looking. Now it's mainly their Voodoo Ranger crap.

Been a pretty tipsy Thanksgiving seeing as my bday fell on it this year. Thinking of ending the night with a bit of port while reading the next installment of the Aubrey/Maturin series.

Tomatin Dualchas Scotch and Leadslingers Minutemen Whiskey,… both, considering their price points are among the best I’ve gad this year…. Both priced well below where they could’ve considering the notes and smoothness of both.

Think we might head up to the Christkendlmarkt in Carmel today. She’ll do the shopping while I stay busy sampling all the German beers. Truly a team effort!!!

The German beers were all good (had quite a few “samples”), and the kielbasa with sauerkraut was great, but it was crazy cold out for a Christkendlmarkt. Maybe a different day we’ll stay longer.

So, we decided to move the party to Fishers where she recommended Four Day Ray Brewery. Nicely done babe. This Track Jumper IPA is amazing. Highly, highly recommend.

Four Day Ray is hit or miss on their beers. I was never impressed with any of their food tho

Yeah, I had the sausage earlier so was more interested in the brew. Tried their winter ale and it was ok, but this Track Jumper IPA (not the fruity one) is delicious. Have one sitting next to me now. Strong too.

She got a flatbread pizza and we shared cheese curds as an appetizer. The food I can’t really attest to.

I will agree/say the menu was underwhelming…burger, club, flat bread pizza, tenderloin…typical Indiana bar food minus a few items. No nachos, chicken sandwich…

What would you recommend, please? What’s Fishers’ or the surrounding best brew and food joint? We’re always looking for new great places. Thanks in advance.

The pint room in Carmel always has all the best beer on tap.

Yeah, we’ve been there before…almost went there yesterday but she doesn’t like the food. Any other recommendations?

You live there? If so highly unlikely I've got something you haven't heard of. I haven't lived down there in two years either. If you just casually visit area let me know and I'll message ya a list of places

Wife created a homemade Advent Beer calendar for me this year. Last night was Lancaster Brewing Baked Pumpkin Pie. A beer I enjoy regularly during this season. Can't wait to see what tonight's is.

She's a keeper.
