Started the evening with a Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin. Then went to a 3F Gumballhead. I’m supposed to be repainting our home office tonight, so this could get interesting.

I'm stocked for tonight, whether it go well or poorly:

1 can of Dia de Los Muertos inspired Chocolate Bon Bon

Sixer of ABW's Double IPA Lazer Salad

Some hard seltzer during the game

Can of Tropical Salty Lady gose by Martin House

And 1 special thing in case things go well (or to drown my sorrows). But I'm hoping for it going well!

So far:

Tropical Salty Lady gose. Excellent variant of the normal Salty Lady. ACamp, I think you'll like.

Basque style cider I picked up on the way after Mass. Good, almost a bit like a wild ale. A bit funky and crisp.

Martin House amaretto stout with pecans and lactose

Heavy on the amaretto in a good way. Strange beer, but good stuff

i think ive said before but i go all white girl around halloween and christmas and get the seasonals.

Three Floyds Alpha Klaus
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
Breckenridge Brewery Christmas Ale
Sam Adams Winter Lager, Holiday White Ale, and Holiday Porter

On Christmas Day, I will make some wassail and mix with some apple whiskey or rum. Maple also goes real well.

Since I have moved away from Indianapolis, I have had my St. Elmo's cocktail in over a year. Thanks for commercialism they have partnered with a distillery to make their own St Elmo's Bourbon that just needs cola and a few cherry's. It wont be the same but lucky me!

Now I just have to find Stone Enjoy by 1.1.21.

Today was my last day of work in 2020.

Tonight it's Nikka Taketsuru 21

Tomorrow will be WLW 2018 and GTS 2019... probably more Take 21 since we're rolling into '21.

Have a safe NYE, all.

Lagunitas Willettized Coffee Stout. Really amazing stuff. I'd seen pkt and a couple others rave about it before but today was the first time I've ever seen it. Absolutely worth the $4.50 I spent on a single 12oz

Moving yesterday, today, and tomorrow and will prolly break open the new place with something special. Will post back here

Moved...again. Damn do I hate moving. So I bought a crowler of a Zilker hazy IPA from Whole Foods. Pretty solid tbh. Had 1 last beer in my old place today, Jolly Pumpkin Oro, which I've had before. They can it now for some reason, but there was a weird after taste that was a bit off putting. Still a good beer, but not as good as I've had before

Well it's pretty dang wild down here right now, because this is supposed to be the worst winter weather in Texas for the past 30+ years. It's not too cold yet, but people online are freaking out like it's 20 below and not 20 degrees. But the roads are absolutely insane! I know that they don't have snow plows, but they iced over almost immediately and with how many hills are around here and the fact that people were driving regardless, it's pretty much nothing but ice anywhere. It'll get worse overnight once all the churned slush freezes over, but it's already essentially shut down the city. Hell even the 7/11 next door is closed, who knew they ever did that?

Anyways I'm mostly alright cause I stocked up on food and whatnot this past Friday. But I didn't get enough, *gulp* beer. How in the world am I gonna last Fat Tuesday without beer? Might need to crack into my "cellar" instead.

Anywho, right now I've got some Barrel Aged Ten Fidy I got on sale last Tuesday. This'll keep me warm tonight at least.

Also, y'all are making me look like the only degenerate on this site.

Recently added Calumet Small Batch Bourbon and Old Forester 1910. I'm still a scotch person though. Highland Park 12 and Glenfiddich 12 are my go-to. I had McCallan 15 recently. It was ok. I'd like to try the 18. I also tried some Ardbeg 10. That has a very distinct flavor. I liked it, but I'm not sure that could be a daily drinker for me.

I've recently enjoyed watching Outlander and drinking a whiskey or two. Anyone have a good suggestion for my next bottle? $50 or less preferably.

Got a shipment last week from Tavour of some solid beers from around the country. Been cracking into them throughout. Some really solid IPAs throughout, trying to drink them first before the rest so they are fresh.

Can someone quick link the scotch recommendations in this thread? I've looked everywhere and can't find those posts (Can't even recall who posted them). I have a $50-$100 short list going and wanted to cross reference.

Thoughts on these:

Laphroaig 10
Belvenie Single Barrel 12
Aberfeldy 12
BenRiach 12
Bowmore 15
