Finally got to try Pliny the Elder. Was about a month old, but still very good. Didn't live up to the hype, but that was probably inevitable.

Currently sippin' on GraMa.

Logsdon Peche n Brett. This is a fantastic Siasion. Tart, a bit acidic, with fruit and a nice dry finish. This is definitely a top 5 beer for me.

Found some Canadian Breakfast Stout over the weekend, and my buddy still had a Mad Elf Grand Cru from last year. We celebrated the win on Saturday with them.

Delicious. Got 4 of them, we opened one, might have another this weekend. Plan to sit on my last one for a little after.

damn dude! Where the hell did you find CBS? Around me, the only way to get your hands on it is to buy (rather expensive) tickets for a special opening at Founders new location in Detroit.

You get a 4 pack, a couple large bottles, and a draft.

Other than that, good luck finding it in any store. I'm jealous, man, good for you!

For any of you Rye Whiskey takers out there, I was at a whiskey/bourbon/scotch tasting over the weekend and tried the Basil Hayden's Dark Rye while I was there...ended up getting about 4 (one oz, the damn guys behind their table were cheap) pours. Very good stuff for a reasonably priced fifth.

They bend you mitts over at home. It's available at a gas station in Chandler, AZ. It's the coolest gas station on the planet but it's a gas station none the less.

Heading down to TW&M to pick up my 2 sixes of Alpine Nelson right now.

Local beer store, that has really repurposed itself with a great craft selection, posted on its Facebook Saturday morning that they received a limited shipment. Got very lucky.

Yeah KBS is the same way. Both are great, but CBS gets the nod IMO.

Bell's Hopslam...that's my favorite beer. Gotta go on a scavenger hunt after the new year to find but it's worth it.

Kinda seems that way. Still happy to hear the Great Beer State is spreading all over.

They dominated a list of both top beers and breweries nation wide recently.

I'm a big fan of the West Coast stuff too. Especially the IPAs, garage fridge is always stocked with them.

So that beer store runs a pick a six thing that even includes getting a discount on bombers. Even ones of CBS. I got them on Saturday for $20 each.

You did better than me. I saw them stocking the end cap at Total Wine & More and grabbed em.

Belching Beaver Fall of Troy Vanilla Orange Milkshake DIPA

As the name suggests... A LOT going on here.

Finishing off a 6 of Alpine Nelson IPA. Maybe the cleanest, most drinkable 7+% beer I've ever had. Too bad it's such an expensive seasonal. Nelson is the Rolls Royce of hops.

Nelson was great. Wasn't as pleased with this go round, was definitely better when I had it about 3 years ago.

Gonna need to find the name of the coffee stout I had with lunch, good stuff, some Peruvian thing. Very strong.

Live Oak Primus while catching up with my best friend.

Penrose Banta Imperial Stout. Good, need to focus on my notes next time. Not nearly as dark as most 10+% stouts.

Dark Horse Maple 4 Elf is damn good. One of the best winter warmers I've had. Spiced ale that goes down like nothing.

The Bruery Bakery. Liquid chocolate with coconut. Damn good stuff.

What I found at an unfrequented liquor store yesterday:

A collaboration with Avery and somebody else called Litigation. Loved it back in 2015 and can't wait to try it several years older. Also a 2015 bottle of Stone Stoichasticity. Not many barrel aged dusties there but a couple of tempting wild ales.

Dabbling in a few pretty decent bottles of red today. Normally I'm a Pinot Noir guy, but doing Merlot and Cab.
