I'm dogsitting for a friend and crashing at her place to avoid hassle. I took a Live Oak Hef from the fridge and am chilling on the back patio with the dog. I can see some perks of home ownership.

Blind Pig IPA on draft. Amazing IPA with a perfect blend of grapefruit, pine and a dry finish. That and three tacos. Doesn't get much better.

Numero Uno Agave Cerveza....

Rather good, light, some lime, refreshing... great for a warm day.

Pilfering my 3F stash. Currently on a bomber of "Mother of Drednaught." This stuff is no joke. Sinfully strong and delicious.

If you ever get a chance get a copy of the Mr. Boston cocktail recipe book. There's stuff in there that will blow your mind.

Gin & Tonic. Beefeater gin (4oz), 4pz Tonic, and juice from half a lime.

What Gin does everyone drink?

My thoughts:
For value I like Beefeater and Boodles.

Plymouth is great for both martinis and G&T and still reasonable in price.

Miller's is great but more expensive.
Hendricks's is good but expensive and can come off a little too floral for G&T.

Oskar Blues Fugli IPA. Not gonna lie, didn't get much fruit from it. Plenty of bitter hops though, which I enjoyed.

Oskar Blues Dunkeldelic. Strange lager, barley sweet. I'm trying to think of a beer it reminds me of, but I'm blanking

Pueblo Vida Rice Cream IPA.

Tastes like a pina colada. Lots of coconut and lime and not much else. One glass was nice on a hot day, but the second was rough to get through.

I also had Pueblo Vida Monsoon IPA. An enjoyable IPA but nothing particularly special about it.

Been switching to spirits for the spring and summer... never been a vodka fan but Ketel One is doing me a solid.

Evan Williams White Label BIB 50%. This has become my new "drink while I am cooking whiskey". It is reasonably priced at $15 and good enough to drink straight. I don't like drinking high end whiskey while I cook so this fits the bill perfectly.

I also picked up a bottle of Booker's "Off Your Rocker" release. Hopefully I will open it later tonight.
