Thoughts on the SN Sidecar?

I just picked up a single of SN Tropical Torpedo to try.

Finishing off a few ounces of Miller High Life. The rest of the quart is being used to simmer the brats.

I just picked up a single of SN Tropical Torpedo to try.

Finishing off a few ounces of Miller High Life. The rest of the quart is being used to simmer the brats.

It's not bad but the rind left a slightly odd aftertaste... I could have got the Trop and think I should have. Sidecars just okay, disappointing for SN imo.

Let me know what you think of the Trop IPA

I think that it is ok. It tastes somewhat similar to standard torpedo just with a little mango/guava/citrus (grapefruit rind). Nothing special but if you like the regular Torpedo it is worth trying.

It seems like they kept the same malt and yeast and just changed the hops to more modern/fruity hops.

ETA: they kept the main malt the same but changed the supporting malt. They did use the same yeast and changed most of the hops.
