Stone IPA from the can earlier.

Now Smuttynose Baltic Porter. Holy shit this is good.
Notes of figs, dates, raisins, and cocoa with hits of roasted malt, coffee and plums. Definitely the best Smuttynose beer that I have tried.

ETA: Roasted malt and coffee notes grow as it warms.

I have 3 Fantasy Football drafts on Sunday one of which is at 9am. Trying to figure out what to drink at 9am. Currently I am considering going with Ballast Point Victory at Sea as it has coffee in it.

I would go with a bloody Mary, an Irish coffee, or a good stout with coffee. I think you're on the right track. Man that's gonna be a long day, haha.

Great choice...but careful.

Or you'll be drafting Jimmy Clausen in the 1st round by your 3rd draft. LOL

Thank you. I might consider starting with an Irish Coffee and then going with the Victory at Sea.
Have a mimosa with mezcal.

Thank you. Not really a huge fan of Mimosas but that does sound interesting.

So true, when I come back and complain that my team sucks, we will know why. The worst part is that my last league that drafts has the most money in the pot.

Does anyone else consistently sip on non-alcoholic drinks in settings they would usually drink beer and such??

Example, CFB Saturday I drink pretty much all day as a general rule, but sometimes (bc I get health conscious I guess is the best way to describe it) I make a deliberate choice to drink something else...

At times like these (which are becoming more frequent) I really enjoy:

-Natural Pina Coladas with no alcohol
-Coconut Water
-Tea, Lemonade or an Arnold Palmer

stuff like that... I've been loving my coconut water lately especially... El Mexicano "Coco" is great stuff.

Has anyone aged Founders Backwoods Bastard? If so do you think that it improved?

I have 2 bottles from last year and I am starting to get the itch to drink them. Also does anyone have Bell's 30th anniversary still aging? I have 2 bottles of that as well and I am thinking of opening one on Monday as it will be a year since it was bottled. Thanks.

Soda and Lacroix water for me when not having a beer.

Has anyone gone long time periods without soda? I ask because I've done so... I've gone YEARS without any carbonated drinks of any kind save soda, which is technically, but not really,... you get the point...

anyway, reason I ask is after about four/five years without any soda of any kind I broke down one day and bought a bottle of CC Classic... dude, if you have adjusted to NOT having that stuff... man...

1- It burned my throat BAD going down... took me way off guard.
2- I could only drink about half the bottle and even just that jacked my stomach/overall system up for the rest of the day.

I still have a Dr. Pepper (one of the few sodas I enjoy anyway, don't ask me why I had a CC Classic that day) every once in a blue moon but if I drink the whole thing, yeah, it'll mess me up, the burn thing has slowly gone away though.

I am freaking addicted to Coke Zero. If it has any side effects then I will be dead by 40.

I have Diet Coke or Coke Zero or Diet Pepsi every day.

I cheat and have regular coca cola maybe twice per year and it is soooo delicious.

You spelled "cranberry juice" wrong.

It's only graced my fridge a few times, and it's never lasted that long.

I'll order a Dr. Pepper or a root beer when I get fast food or eat out at a fast casual place. Caffeine doesn't have much affect on me, so I'm pretty ambivalent to it otherwise.

I use to be that way about Diet Coke. I would drink 6-8 cans a day. Now I am down to 3 or so and maybe 1 can of regular soda (usually Coke or Mountain Dew).

I successfully switched my addiction from soda to Topo Chico or just plain soda water.

Actually...I don't like drinking beer or booze while I eat. Only wine. I drink tea or water with food

Great job.

Being in Austin and living 5 minutes from 1, I'm very familiar with HE Butts (as my grandpa calls it). I get whatever HEB has on sale between the Schweppes or store brand carbonated water. Sometimes I splurge for Topo, but that stuff is way pricier than I realized.

Oh, nice! I didn't notice you were from Austin.

I own about 5 acres outside of Killeen. I spend a lot of time in Austin and the surrounding area

The HEB sparkiling grapefruit is amazing

I'm really surprised at how good the tortillas are for store brand. And most around me make some in house too. Then again, I'm just a Midwestern boy living in Texas, so maybe my taste buds are off.

Just finishing up another week of travel. ATL-PHX-SLC-DEN-ATL. Enjoying a nice Delta Sky Breeze on the way home to ATL... Heading out to ATL-DFW-AUS-SAT-HOU-ATL next week. Tequila in TX on schedule. Maybe a little Tito's in DFW with my buddy.

We're going to "Brew at the Zoo" tonight. The brewers list is enormous, 60+. Three hours, unlimited sampling, and my wife got a DD ticket. Should be a good way to close out summer.
